    HW Champ Cain Velasquez had shoulder surgery and is out at least 6 months.

    DFW is gonna attempt to get Werdum to take another fight.

    Between him and Pettis both being out an extended period of time, Jones asking for more time off, GSP asking for time off, Rousey having a year off, and Cruz returning from a two-year layoff, UFC champions don't seem to fight so often.
