I disagree. I think it should be split four ways. 1/4 fans, 1/4 team announcers and select local media members combined, 1/4 head coaches, and 1/4 players. Players, coaches, and announcers would not be allowed to vote for players on their own team.

And I should have veto authority.

Well Aldridge should now be fully motivated for tonight, hopefully Lillard, Batum and Wesley as well.

Everyone (Fans, Media, Coaches, Players) should get 1 vote. 1 vote for every starter. Coaches only get to vote for the Bench.

That would clear up a lot of bullshit and make the voting faster and more streamlined.

I think the easiest thing to do would to just have a minimum games limit to have the votes "start counting". Say, 20?

    But, they never will.

Heh. Lin is on the bench. That's funny.

Also, on nba.com, on the schedule ticker on the home page, it doesn't even have our game listed. It has a spot for it, but it's not showing it.

I would just like to point out, that complaining about the voting does nothing to change it.

How many of you have voted?

It's not like there are a ton of votes. The top vote getters end up with like 1.5 million votes. That's nothing. That's not even a full 1% of the population in the US.

Blake Griffin is leading Aldridge by 160k roughly. How many people go to a Blazers game? We can't get him another 160k votes? The reason why we never win is because nobody votes. We always just say, "oh this shit is stupid. Our guys never win." How many people actually vote though? It's like complaining about who won the election, but you didn't vote for the other guy.

    Get out and vote.

Well, given the track record, do you think people are going to be motivated to vote for a losing cause year after year? Elections are the entirety of america over 18 years old. the NBA is a niche of america that watches it. It's a big difference.

I like the idea of a Melo-George-Lebron starting frontcourt. How would you coach that? Lebron at center?

All star fan voting has been a joke for a while now. Don't care anymore......but do wish the best player in the nba got selected. The career achievement votes are not fair to the deserving players. Fans should vote for slam duck, 3 point contest but all star game should be selected by peers, and coaches.
