I didn't get to watch the game. Could someone describe what happened?

Looks to me like DHoward is worth about 8 more wins for Houston as currently constituted.

Both went for a rebound, neither corralled out, LMA grabbed it and scored, and Dwight gave Parsons an angry stare down

    Yes. If they're playoff wins.

Certainly. They were a 45 win team without him, on pace for 53 after a slow start. If they win 60, which isn't unlikely, he'd then be worth 15 wins.

It's a lot easier to add him to a 10 win team and see a 30 game difference. Nowhere to go but up.

Ah - to each their own. I can't stand the nba.com site.

The NBA.com highlights are vastly better than ESPN. They're usually twice as long, and they do a much better job of showing both teams. Even if you don't like NBA.com, you should at least watch their highlights.

Good to know. Thanks for the info! I'll make a point of watching their highlights after reading ESPN.

The thing that's wonky about ESPN is that they're very inconsistent with how they portray the game.

Take last night for example.... WTF was that NBA Jam shit? Houston wasn't on fire in the first half. Neither team shot well. They made it seem like Houston was tearing it up, and then LA dominated in the second half. That was a complete misrepresentation of what happened. I think we had the biggest lead in the game, so at no point was Houston on fire.

Well, they're certainly not showcasing Asik.

I hear Toronto has the kind of Turkish community he would love.

The Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers are pursuing Omer Asik in trade scenarios with the Houston Rockets.

There is also one more interested team in the mix for Asik.

    "A wildcard," one source said.

Asik is averaging 4.4 points and 6.8 rebounds this season and has held a trade request for most of the season.

The Rockets seek a power forward in the deal with Paul Millsap, Thaddeus Young, Brandon Bass, Jeff Green and Anderson Varejao as candidates.

None of those should go. You can get Asik for less. Paul Millsap has been playing great, also.

Milsap would be huge. Young would be okay.... but not really a move that makes Houston a ton better. Varejao was not that impressive tonight.

No chance I give up Millsap for Asik if they are paid the same amount. Wait Asik will be paid double his salary?

The other names I'd trade for Asik if I needed a rim protector.

Varejao is noticeable less than the player he was in his younger days. Perhaps its all the injuries that have limited him to 31 or fewer games each of the last four years.

If Houston was interested in Varejao the trade would have already been done. Asik is not going to the Cavs.
