Great video. Love to see these kinds of things.

What does this have to do with the snowball fight that coaching staff said was wrong, Brown himself said was wrong and apologized for, police said was wrong, the official UO statement said was wrong, but most importantly, the victims said was wrong ?? Can you just not admit you're wrong, or are your morals and values that blurred?

Student athletes make bad decisions/choices. It's part of life. There are consequences for making bad decisions. Brown is going to live with his consequences and be better for it in the long run. Maybe you should move on...

Seriously, what the fuck are you talking about? I clearly said Brown should be punished. I just said I didn't think it should be done by the justice system.

That's not all you said. By implying the snowball fight spilled over to local businesses via a different charitable event and stating how fearful individuals are, you are attempting to once again downplay the snowball event.

You said it was just horseplay (excessive) and no criminal law was broken - when you clearly have no idea or background in criminal law, state statute or case law.

You are welcome to your own opinion, however, you cannot change the fact that Brown and others subjected non-voluntary individuals to offensive physical contact and insulted others in a gesture likely to provoke a violent response.

And, sorry, you are wrong....EPD will write a report of the incident and it will be turned over to the district attorney who will evaluate, based on facts and community safety/need, as to if charges will move forward.

As of four days ago the statement from the University was: “The police department is investigating,” said Joe Mosley, a university spokesman. “They are trying to identify as many of the students that are involved as possible.”

The act IS under investigation because it did constitute a crime. Individuals are being identified through law enforcement resources and formal investigation. The DA will decide to what extent this will go.

Again, I pose the question...how would you feel if that was your mom or dad having their vehicle stopped, snow dumped in their car, pelted in the face and head by snowballs that were described as "ice balls" and being yelled at? I will assume in that situation you would not refer to this as simple "horseplay" and you'd be more likely to seek criminal justice.

    Haha! Good stuff, Wheels!

    :ghoti:

Let's all play the re-quote game! It's fun:

We get it, you have a law enforcement background and that is your focus on this. IMO this was excessive horseplay. Brown should be disciplined but no matter how many statutes you quote this was not a criminal act.

Not a criminal act? That's why the PD is investigating and identifying as many students as possible...not a criminal act despite it perfectly meeting the very definition of harassment and disorderly conduct.

Now, it will be the DA's call on moving any charges forward.

No one interested in entertaining the thought of if they are 'cool' with the same thing happening to their mother/father or son/daughter? I wonder why... Brown is lucky he's not off the team.

That's my two-cents...not of opinion...of actual laws, definition and according to victim statements. Again, you're entitled to your opinion, but you're also entitled to be 100% wrong. Ha! :)

If charges are filled and people are prosecuted by the DA then it was a criminal act. If not then it wasn't. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.
