And again, CJ is no more of a PG than Mo is.

Emotional thinking backed by #1 seed in the tough conference. Gotcha.

Maybe not. And he may be as bad at defense, although that would be difficult. But is he as much of a ball hog? Is he going to go one-on-three crazy without a single teammate over half court? I've seen Mo freeze out Damian during Lillard Time. I've seen Mo freeze out Wes when Wes was in the middle of a hot streak. Each time it ended poorly.

I actually don't expect much if anything from CJ this season. Other than Summer League, he's had what, going on a year off from competitive basketball? The issue is probably moot, because I just don't see Stotts taking the ball away from his vet designated scorer Mo, and giving it to CJ.

I have a good imagination though. I imagine CJ, some day, looking a lot like Mo, with a strong mid-range game and better passing to teammates. That's my fantasy, and I'm sticking to it -- until reality bites me in the ass. :)

There are 14 teams in the West that wish they were as unfinished as us

    Sucks to be them! :)

Don't get me wrong, I'll support the team we have, and I believe we have as good a shot as any of the top 8 teams that don't have LBJ. IF we can improve the bench, though, and improve our chances, you have to do it. It's worth talking about.

The #1 team in the west--at the moment--needs to prove it over more than 23 games before many of us ate convinced that regular season success will new able to translate into playoff success. News flash: it doesn't always.

There's validity to the thought process that a stronger bench and better paint defense are important to winning in the postseason. There's also validity to the opinion that what appears to be outstanding chemistry should be preserved, perhaps even at the expense of moves that might result in improved performance. And there is room in an open mind for both concepts.

I don't think anybody is claiming that regular season success "always" translates into playoff success. However, there is likely a strong correlation.

Has anybody checked to see how well the team leading the western conference after, say, 30 games finished the playoffs?

I just don't understand where Stotts will find enough time for CJ to have a serious impact on this team. What are they going to do have two combo guards on the floor at the same time that pretty much merrier each other? That's why I think CJ might be more valuable to the (Win now team) Blazers in a trade but what the hell do I know? I'm just a fan.

Probably. All I'm saying is that those railing against and ridiculing others for having the audacity to hold and present viewpoints that differ from theirs are being a tad unreasonable.

I love it when people seem to only want to look at things at face value.

At some point, when the entire point being made is rendered flawed or incomplete by other posters showing obvious selective use of criteria, yet the poster/moderator continues to push the stupid point, then the only option is ridicule or ignore.

If posters continue to make the same stupid point for whatever reason, then Iassume that the moderator, WR, poster is merely trolling.

What's the difference between the moderator and MIXIM at this juncture? I can't find one.

I just spent the last eight hours in the hospital in excruciating pain because of a dislocated knee, so I'm not really in the mood to argue with you.

    You're a true class act.
