Nate, don't let the Blazer team physician operate on you.

All the starters played fewer than 30 minutes because the bench held the lead for a change. Mo had a nice line, Wright went 5-5 from three, and that Crabbe kid can shoot too.

I'm in Montana with my terminal cancer-ridden step-dad a shell of himself, and I'm trying to structure the sale of his business in a way that protects him and my mom from giving unnecessary payments to his ex-wife from 20 years ago upon that sale. I need to get it done quickly, because other than the negotiated sale price for the business, his and/or my mom's income over two years depends completely on how many of his current clients stay with the new investor over the next two years. Now that people know there is a verbal agreement, it's meetings with lawyers during the day, and then watching a great man rapidly die in front of my eyes at night, while I'm calling current clients and trying to placate them by letting them know that sale will happen by the end of the year.

Other than that, I had to pull a dresser off of him tonight in his closet only 30 minutes after arguing with him about the structure of the sale (he thinks he should still run the show, but he can't remember what he had for dinner), because he got up from his chair and tried to put on slippers, and then somehow pulled the dresser on top of him. Lucky he didn't break an ankle, or at least pop his skin from the edema in the ankles and right arm, because both would have meant ER. The right arm looks like a fucking lobster claw at this point, with the cellulitis and the redness from the cancer.

Sorry about your knee, but your posts here this week have been trollish and stupid. It's a fucking knee. I've had surgery on both knees. Deal with it. I don't suffer foolish posts, such as Stotts' rotation pattern re: Lillard and his shooting. That was such an incredibly stupid point to make, yet you kept defending it for some reason.

I don't understand why you continually complain about things when the team is now 20-4. Are you just a constantly negative person? I enjoy the Blazers because they are a diversion from reality, and lucky for me this year, we as fans have a fun team to watch, and a sense of pride for long-time fans who have been through some rather miserable seasons, outside of Roy's prime, since the start of the new millennium.

they tend to be the most frequent/vocal posters as well, just throwing out whatever off the top of their head BS that occurs to them as if it's of value. Time passing proving them wrong again and again doesn't seem to do anything to slow them down

I'm sorry about your family, but why do you care so much about what interests me with the team? Just because I have different thoughts, opinions, and ideas than you do, does not make them wrong or trollish. They're theories. The whole point of a forum is to share ideas and thoughts. You don't have to agree with them all, but you do have to respect the people who post them. My brain works differently than yours. I covered professional sports for eight years of my life. I don't just look at the positive. I look at the whole picture. It's hard to turn that off. I can't just be happy. When I see a bench that isn't performing well, I want to talk about it. When I see Lillard struggling with part of his game, I want to talk about it.

Some of the posters on here, such as STOMP or yourself, take it SO personally when someone posts something that they construe as negative about the team that they love. Why does it bother you so much? Trolling is posting something specifically to illicit a reaction out of someone. I post these things because I actually want to talk about them. That's not trolling. Sorry if bothers you, but I'm not changing who I am to make you happy.

I am who I am, I make no apologies, and I'm not changing. I'm not trolling you. Get over it.

I just want to say that I don't consider Nate's posts "trollish or stupid" and I don't consider his ideas to improve the team to be "complaining" or "negative". When I used to run a small business, my mantra was "If we are not growing (improving), then we are dying (stagnating). This mantra served me very well in a very successful business.

But we clearly ARE growing and improving every single night. We're growing from within. Trades aren't the answer to everything.

That's a very good point and I recognize how much the Blazers have improved over the years; through individual workouts during the summer and just by the process of playing together. I always thought most of the improvement in the Drexler, Porter, Kersey group was just from continuing to play together for a few years. But adding some pieces, like Cliff Robinson and Buck also really helped.
Even the Philly broadcasters pointed out last night that portland does not have a very good bench.
I don't have too much hope that a guy like Williams will show any individual improvement at this point but perhaps (with the help of the coaches) he can show some improvement working with this team. He definitely needs to show some improvement as far as playing with Lillard; if he doesn't show that improvement by the halfway point, then i would suggest stop that experiment.

As far as trades; well i guess some are of the opinion we should wait and see if things get better, then if necessary make some offseason additions or changes. My opinion is that everyone is healthy and everything is clicking and we should not wait for next year, but rather do what is necessary right now to make a try at a championship.

Maybe there won't be any trades available that will have a strong chance of improving us right now. It's always risky making trades during the season. But i hope our GM is at least looking and evaluating. And i hope that posters here will be allowed to do their own looking and speculating without being subject to criticism just for the fact that they are thinking about ways to improve the team.

Over the years I've seen repeated discussion and acceptance of contending teams looking to trade for a 'final' piece to 'put them over the top' for the playoffs. But to even discuss the Blazers being in the same position, and that perhaps they might consider bolstering the bench in like fashion, is blasphemy, and idiotic? OK. I guess the Blazers are a finished product. I'll mortgage my house, fly to Vegas, and place my bet. Thanks for the tip, guys! :)

Blaming Stotts sub pattern of Lillard, based on 'poor shooting', is stupid when you look at the actual stats. I don't suffer foolish posts anymore, and a stupid idea needs to be called out for what it is.

How did the bench do last night, by the way? Also, the Lakers had a game last week in which every single player off the bench scored double digits, while every starter scored on single digits. They lost the game, but their bench scoring was awesome!

You don't own the Blazers. We seem to have a different view on sports as entertainment. I actually do want NateBishop3 to continue to post his silly ideas, though, because almost immediately afterward, the team and/or players he is criticizing invariably prove the silly point to be nothing more than the rants of a guy who doesn't know much about basketball.

You need to me mellow a bit my friend. We get it, you don't agree with Nate. That's fine, not agreeing with someone is what makes these forums fun, but he does know a lot about basketball.
