Amir Johnson has been one of the more underrated ballers in the NBA for some time. But, I don't think I'd give up T-Rob for him.

At this point I would probably trade CJ before I traded Robinson.

As much as I like CJ, we have other guards, and we even have Crabbe who I like.

If Philly would do Hawes for CJ/Leonard/Barton, I would probably do it.

Me too. I'm really seeing T. Rob's promise. He's gonna be a beast in a year or two.

He just needs some polish. The right big man coach would really help him. He has the motor, and the talent, but he needs the moves. Right now he only has that spin move that doesn't always work out

I wouldnt trade CJ for Amir either. I think the kid is going to be special and give us a dynamic scorer off the bench. Hes cut from the same cloth as Dame and when healthy I think the two of them will embrace each other and feed off each other. Having those two young guys grow together I think will pay dividends.

Here's the problem that I've had since the draft. If CJ is as good as we think he'll be, he will want to start. I don't think a Dame/CJ backcourt can work long term. If Dame was taller, maybe, but they're both pretty short. I guess CJ is around 6'3, which isn't too bad, but neither of them have the real size to defend shooting guards.

maybe CJ isn't nearly as good as some people think he is?

    And most SG's in the league now-a-days aren't 6'7", they're 6'5" at best.

Well, Wes is around 6'5, but he's quite bit bigger and stronger than CJ.

I think we could get him for Freeland or MyLe and Barton or someone. The suns don't want to be winning as much as they are.

I really think Frye here would make a lot of sense. I know a lot of people don't think he'd fit very well based on his stint here with Nate, but in a motion offense the guy is a really great fit. He also has improved his post-D substantially since his time here, and could play a Freeland rebounding/defense role I believe.

I just like how incredibly diverse our bigs would be with a traditional big (Lopez), all around PF (Aldridge), stretch 4 (Frye), and energy/rebounding guy (Robinson). Of course I wouldn't want to rely on Frye's post D against starters for the most part, but that's why we could try to grab a b/u vet (kaman, dalembert if dallas isn't in it) in case Robin gets hurt.

Freeland has looked much better than last year, but Frye would surely add a scoring and spacing punch that he doesn't, without a huge dropoff in defense.

Also, his contract ends at the end of next year (along with everyone else except for Lillard and Batum pretty much).

I think it'd be a year or two at least before he's at a level to force our hand on that. He's not established at all, and if he were given all of Mo's minutes (hypothetical if he's that good) he'd have to be happy with 25 mpg as a first and second year player. At that point he'd still have value on a cheap contract and we could deal him.

I would love that trade; if only Phoenix would take the bait. I don't think they want to help us in any way.

I doubt he makes waves any time soon about starting. We have time to work that out.

It'd allow them to shed some salary off this year and next year

I like Frye the person, but I'm not psyched about adding him to the team. He seems to be chronically out with injuries.

I would rather see if we can add Hawes. Putting Hawes on our second unit would be huge. I'm not sure what it would cost, but he's a guy that I could see staying here long term.

No, I agree, it wouldn't be soon. It's a longterm problem.
