MILWAUKEE (AP) ? Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut will likely miss the beginning of the season with a lower left leg sprain that is expected to sideline him for six to eight weeks.Bogut was helped off the court during a team scrimmage on Saturday after banging his leg into Steve Blake's knee. He did not return to the scrimmage.Bucks coach Terry Stotts initially said the injury was not serious. But the No. 1 pick in last year's NBA draft was evaluated by team doctor John Heinrich on Sunday, and the Bucks said Monday that Bogut will undergo rehabilitationhttp://www.mlive.com/sportsflash/topstorie....xml&storylist=Not good News if you are a Bucks fan.

That is terrible news for the Bucks. Their defensive frontcourt will be terrible now. Charlie V is one of the worst defenders in the League for a big man also.

I don't think he will be out that long, a lot of these injury dates are a little entended..etc...It's really bad news for me and it sets the season off on the wrong foot. It's Steve Blakes fault...that skinny little bastard. :no1:

Not good at all. Not only could he miss the whole first month of the season, but when he comes back you have to think he'll be rusty. So this could turn out to be a 10 week thing before he gets back into the swing of things. That's not good at all, and it's not going to get the Bucks started off on the right foot.

Who is going to take his place as starting center? Brian Skinner or Gadzuric? I would go with Skinner, but does anyone know the plan here?

If I were the Bucks, I would probably start Gadzuric. He has shown that when he gets playing time he is halfway decent. This really screws up their team. I bet they wish they had Magloire right about now.

And I bet BCB thinks otherwise. [IMG]

But I think Skinner should start over Gadzuric. Gadzuric is out of control sometimes with the fouling, and he has zero offensive game. He's a good rebounder, but nothing much else is great about him except the fact that he's athletic. I like Gadzuric, but I think Brian Skinner is very underrated, and a better player than Gadzuric.

I had them at the 8th see but the bottom of the East is going to be so close yet again and you can't really afford a loss like this. :no1:

He will probably foul out by halftime anyway so Skinner will see a lot more time. This is why I was concerned about out inside depth, this is concerning. :no1:

Bogut's word's were the exact word's I was thinking, and here's why...no matter how you look at it, it is going to be 6 to 8 weeks. Why not look at it in a way that will make him look foward to rehab and such, instead of negative thinking, causing Drew if he were to think like that, it would cause anxiety, restlessness, worry. No think you. It is what it is, and how you choose to look at it forms you're attitude and outlook, and I like his POSITIVE outlook. Also what he said is true. He has been playing basketball against high level competition for three years without a break. I myself said this summer I wish he would skip the Worlds. So, of course it is a shame he got hurt, but all you can do is move on. IOW, it's 6-8 week's no matter how you look at it.He choose's the best outlook possible, and so do I.
