The Detroit announcers want to count it as a moral victory....

Lillard has never met an overtime he didn't like. 15 of 18 from the field in his career.

Am I the only person who saw the whole wrist being hit on his last shot in regulation? I slowed it down and watched it three times.

I don't expect the refs to bail him out, but why drive to the basket when the game is on the line if they are going to swallow their whistle? I guess it is better to be jump shooters after all.

It's a learning experience. He's had success driving with the game on the line. What was that game at home when he just walked through the paint and layed it in? Indy maybe?

I just think he has to realize that he's not going to get a call on a last shot. That's why driving is such a bad idea. A team would have to truly mug you for a call to happen.

Actually, I think that was the PHX game, IIRC.

Yeah, I think you're right. Frye just watched him lay it in.

I just watched the highlights on NBA.com and Dame is lucky he didn't an offensive foul on that drive before the first OT. The guy he ran into was clearly outside the circle and he had his feet set. Dame could have VERY easily gotten an offensive foul on that one.

Does it matter? No FTs are awarded on an offensive foul. It would have been a turnover and events would have played out the same.

They overlooked the reach where Jennings grabbed Dame's arm just before he crashed into the defender, so I guess it was just one of those last second plays where the refs swallow their whistles and refuse to have a game decided by freethrows.

I didn't see it until someone pointed it out on Reddit... check out Mo Williams at the top of the shot with the gangsta lean.

He took three steps, I think, but they're never going to call that.

It's like in NBA Live when the AI players just go into their walking animations because the game is over. Total cool.

It's barely a travel, but like you said, nobody in the NBA is gonna be called for that.

Even in the first quarter. No starter gets called for that move. Meyers Leonard might, but no starter.
