    Stefan Elliot and Bradley Malone

    for

    Boyle

Elliot is a right handed shot with decent size on defense and very good offensive skills. He's in the AHL right now. Malone is a tough, physical, 4th line grinder that might mesh well with Dorsett. Boyle is Boyle but for some reason still has a lot of value around the league.

This would then allow Sather to trade MDZ for a forward and not be a moron and ask for a top 4 defenseman in return. Then pray that Elliot figures it out.

Question, and I am not saying this to battle I am seriously asking, how do you know Boyle has a lot of value around the league? You say it so matter of fact like it is a given.

Are you on GM calls that we don't know about...:).

Try listening each year during the trade deadline clown. Not to mention try reading other cities papers and their writers. It's pretty easy to understand who has value if you listen every year at the deadline instead of bitching every two seconds about trades Sather doesn't make. Boyle's name always comes up. Use some common sense while you're at it. Boyle has played well, 2 playoffs in a row and he's good on faceoffs. Thus, why his name comes up all the time at the trade deadline and in other papers when writers talk about adding players to the team they cover.

Always liked the idea of getting Elliot.

Maybe they could move DZ and a 2nd for McGinn and Elliott. McGinn is a decent 3rd liner with some grit.

Elliot seems to fallen out of favor with Roy. AV continues to try and play MDZ on the right side where he clearly is not comfortable. Elliot is a right shot. I don't think we would have to give up MDZ to get Elliot. I think my original proposal is enough.

There's the childish rude dump we all know and love. We missed ya fella...LOL. Just remember my offer to get you help for your "issues" still stands buddy.

And yes we all know. Teams are all in a panic to get Boyle and will deal a ton to get it done. We know dump. Yet for some reason nothing ever happens with Boyle. SO either Sather is a complete moron because teams all want Boyle and offer a lot to get him, and Sather says no. OR teams do NOT really want Boyle, and they will not pay a ton to get him.

There CANNOT be any other choice dump. Either Sather is an idiot for not flipping a heavily sought after Boyle. OR teams don't really want Boyle if they have to deal anything of real substance to get him. Which is it I wonder...LOL.

I am with chuck here. Nobody is lining up to get Brian freaking Boyle. All Boyle is good at is winning an occasional face-off and playing on PK. So he scored a couple of goals in the last two playoffs, big deal. He does nothing pretty much all season except for killing a penalty or taking a face-off.

He also spends half the game on his butt. Never seen a big guy like him get knocked down so many times by the smaller players. LOL

Both of you have your head up your ass. I hate Boyle but teams asked for him the last 2 years at the deadline. I personally guarantee Sather will get a good return for him this season. I think he is a guy that will absolutely get dealt. I believe he will get a good prospect and a 2nd rounder if he's dealt alone to a team.

If anyone offers to pay anything more than just his airfare Sather should take it.

I won't even disagree with you dump...it is possible. All I will say is if Sather could have gotten that return, he should have made that deal last year or two years ago.

If he gets a good prospect and a 2nd rounder, why did Sather wait until now to get that haul for Boyle? That would be my issue/question.

Beane has his head up his ass with certain young players. He has a habit of trading first round picks when they are positional players. He traded Weeks who was drafted 1st round. He traded Green who hit .300 in the minors who was drafted in the 1st round. He just traded Choice who was drafted in the first round. I think Green and Choice will be good. Weeks has a chance to be a .280, 20 steal, 80 run, 80 walk second baseman.

Beane just starts hating on first round picks that don't blow him away quickly and he trades them.

Sounds like the DZ to Mtl talks involved Diaz and a prospect coming back. Not thrilling but if its a top 5 prospect then its ok. Diaz is older and a Ufa but is a righty with decent offense. The prospect is the key to that. Franson is being discussed too which would be better.

Don't like Diaz and don't think Montreal's prospects match for us.

Like Franson and Biggs for MDZ much better.
