    I suppose if you were a drunk that failed science, sure. "Gamers" may get the mortal kombat stuff. Most people hear the word "SUB" and think "less than". Of course, those people also graduated high school, so I guess it just depends on your audience.

    What he's really saying is that the nicknames you create are just too esoteric for this community. Someone who would want to drink a diet vodka would likely appreciate the clever interplay of science and calorie content. Hoops junkies really just want a name that sounds cool.

    Think "Arrested Development" vs "Spartacus: Blood and Sand".
