true but I'd say one of those wins was much more lopsided than the other. :devilwink:

I can give a bunch of reasons why, but I'm not going to waste my time.

A bunch reasons why one was lopsided? Serious question on that part, not sure what you were getting at.

Well, the game at Candlestick was extremely physical and Seattle was able to get away with a ton of shit. There was one obvious pass interference call that was missed in the end zone. Even a lot of Sea Hawks fans admit that their secondary gets away with a lot of shit.

I'm of the opinion that Seattle's stadium is an unfair advantage. I'm all for loud fans, but when the stadium is built to amplify the fans to the point where the other team can't hear themselves, I consider that cheating. It's not that much different than pumping in crowd noise through the loud speakers.

Well we could look at that or we could also look on the game breaking gore run how Sherman was held right in front of ref and no call and that one cost us the game.

    Link here

The rivalry between the teams is good for NFL and fans.

I love a good rivalry, but a true rivalry is made in the playoffs. Not during the regular season. The Niners' best rivals were the Cowboys and Packers. Those were settled in the NFC championship.

    gotcha thanks.

Stadium stuff doesnt bother me too much I guess. Autzen is "make your ears bleed" loud because its built in the side of a hill. And its design keeps the noise in. I think the RG was built to amplify sound as well.. or at least I thought.

Building on the side of a hill is a little different from constructing parts of the stadium to direct the noise back at the field. The Blazers DO have it. If you go to the Rose Garden you'll see those white reflectors that can be turned up or down, depending on how they want the acoustics. I think it's cheap. I don't think you should need to/or be able to amplify the sound of your fans.

With that said, football relies so much more on sound than basketball does. Being able to hear a snap count, being able to hear your QB, it's really a huge advantage when the other team can't hear shit. Basketball can all be communicated through hand signals.

...I think the "13th Man" is a drug dealer due to the rate at which players are getting suspended up there in Seattle :sigh:

agree that Football needs it more than Basketball.. but a little further on the Autzen part. Its not just the hillside. Every expansion of Autzen has been made with noise in mind as well

Have you ever been to Qwest/Clink? It's freaking loud even in the stands.

LOL at complaining about a call against Sherman. Dude's nickname should be "Kobe" for everything he gets away with.

For the record, holding happens on nearly every down in football.

Umm, have you guys ever been to Autzen? It's not built on the side of a hill at all. The Willamette River is on one side, and there isn't a hill on the other side until the Coburg hills, which is about 15 miles north. The hills to the south, across the river, are actually closer, but in no way is Autzen built on the side of a hill. I'm from Eugene, I know this.

been there a few times yes

That looks an awul lot like half of a hill on the right side of this pic. Also hated having to hike up the concrete ramps headed towards the studend section.
