    Knicks 2013-14 record 8-17 PAYROLL 118.8M
    Nets 2013-14 record 9-16 PAYROLL 189.2M
    Giants 2013 record 5-9 PAYROLL 122.3M
    Jets 2013 record 6-8 PAYROLL 124.1M
    Yankees 2013 record 85-77 PAYROLL 265M
    Mets 2013 record 74-88 PAYROLL 95.1M
    Rangers 2013-14 record 16-17 PAYROLL 64.9M
    Islanders 2013-14 record 9-19 PAYROLL 55.9M
    Devils 2013-14 record 14-15 PAYROLL 67.6M

Granted 4 of these teams make New Jersey there home but REALLY....someone needs to step up. My prediction, The 2014 New York Yankees.

4 teams make NJ home? I only count 3.... Devils, Jets, and Giants... Nets aren't NJ any more... and how the hell is the Nets payroll 189.2M??? holy crap... I don't follow basketball of any sort, but good grief... and to be quite honest, I am very surprised my Devils are the highest of the 3 NHL teams listed...

You're right Steve my bad, I forgot the Nets moved to Brooklyn. They also took the contracts of Kevin Garnett & Paul Pierce from the Celtics. Over 30M right there.

Looking at the low salaries in hockey kind of tells me that that's not the sport to go into.

The reason to not play in the NHL is because the league is ridiculously inept and corrupt.

I'm not a hockey fan but you're really going to have to explain this post. This ought to be good.

All due respect Steve in another thread I posted something about hockey that's worth repeating now, Some time back they took a poll among hockey fans and asked them what they enjoy most about the sport & 92% (I repeat 92%) said it was the fighting. Not the awesome skating or the non stop action, it was the fighting.

Maybe that's why that old joke still circulates " I went to a boxing match last night & a hockey game broke out".
