Rondo looked very good tonight. I am impressed with this team so far, they are showing what they are made of even though, they lost tonight.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CB4AllStar @ Oct 11 2006, 10:05 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>F*ck man..Rondo just killed us. We played no perim. defense, and he just ran right by us. Calderon didnt do anything defensively, and Parker wasnt great on defense either. If it wasnt for that stupid call, we wouldnt have had it tied in the 4th quarter, and if it wasnt for Garb's back2back 3's, we would have probably los in OT.Some notes:- TJ Ford had great court vision before he got fouled out- Garbajosa played well. He hit his shots- Calderon drove to the basket well- Bargnani played well. He was able to do more than just shootingI only got to see the 4th quarter. becase I had basketball practice..</div>True CB4, but we got killed last game for only playing perim defense. Its all good third times a charm and raptors will learn hopefully. But 30+ fouls is just disgusting thats at least 8-10 fouls per quarter, Bargnani still showing foul trouble, probably becuase he cant gaurd the bigs, so he tends to foulwell see as season goes on.btw the prediction was just about the oppositePrediction:Celtics win, 104-96I didnt think we wed win, but I didnt think wed lose by a margin of 8...anyways id say the same for my teamprops to rondo

thata boy Rondo, he was really impressivetough game on both sides, I think fans on both sides have to be disappointed a little bit. Celts had 37 turnovers total, that is just simply unacceptable. Rondo played well but my god, 37 turnovers, way too sloppy.

Oh... my... F-ING.. GOD!!! I have the biggest man-crush on Rajon Rondo right now it's not even funny.

    - He shot well
    - He got to the rim at will
    - He made CLUTCH shots.. ala the buzzer beater to force OT
    - He harrassed defensively
    - He made nice plays passing the ball
    - He rebounded
    - He only had 1 turnover in 38 minutes
    - He made 11 of his 12 FT attempts
    - He hustled like crazy and brought energy
    - He played smart and calm
    - He is the truth!

I honestly don't care what you guys say about this comment: Rajon Rondo IS our best point guard. Period. End of story.

Also a solid night from Gerald Green. He hit some three's, threw down a thunderous dunk as usual, did very solid defensively, he crashed the boards. Good job Gerald.

Bassy played well. He shot the ball very well, he got to the line nicely and hit his free throws, he had a few turnovers but 2 of them were because of a wet/slippery floor. And he hustled. He has a lot of heart.

O played well again when he was in there. He really hustled on the glass again.

    Pierce was on fire.

Gomes made a lot of nice hustle plays and played well around the basket.

Big Al/Perk - don't look at the stat sheet and say they didn't have good games. They just didn't get the ball. It was all small ball today.

Allan Ray turned the ball over an awful lot, but he hustled and hit a couple shots.

TA did some good little things near the end of the game (the pass to Rondo, a couple steals).

Oh, and I would love to brutally murder Scal. He sucked tonight. He passed up an unbelievably wide open layup of a feed from Rondo, he aired a 3, he turned the ball over, made dumb fouls. He looked terrible out there.

But listen up, I'm saying this loud and clear: Rajon Rondo is the steal of the draft this year, he is our best complete PG player, our best defender at that spot, a very heady/calm player, and he is going to be an excellent player.

Yeah 37 turnovers is just uncalled for. That is completely atrotious.

Sebastian still needs a lottttt of work, his basketball IQ is starting to scare me.

If you have never watched basketball, then you watched these last 2 games, you would think Rondo is an All-Star. Honestly. He does everything on the court, and his quickness/composure makes up for his below average shooting.

And about Telfair, I wouldn't worry. You look at the stat sheet and you see 4 turnovers, but note that one of them was because of a retarded Scal pass and 2 were because he slipped on the wet floor. He needs some work, he isn't as well-rounded as Rondo, but he is a good player. I havn't lost confidence in him. I was rather impressed with his long range shooting tonight.

What did I tell you guys about Rajon Rondo? 1. He's the best PG in the draft. 2. He was held back at Kentucky. 3. His shot is not beyond repair. 4. He is better than Sebastian Telfair. It's all true.

props to rondo, from what I hear hes having a good pre-season campaign. anyways im glad to see the raptors bench bringing it two games in a row, I hope this is a theme this season for the young raps and hopefully we can fall back on it whenever our starters are having a bad day at the office. One thing I noticed from the boxscore is Fred Jones' numbers 14pts/8rbs/7asts although he did play the most minutes for both teams at 39 its still good to see that hes doing good, especially at the line 10 for 11 today and I think he was a perfect 8 for 8 vs the Wiz.

<span style="font-family:Book Antiqua">I don't know if I'd claim Rondo is the best PG in Boston so early in the season... especially since it's the preseason. Maybe Sebastian might crack through in the regular season...?</span>

Must you start sh*t with every opposing teams' fans after every game? First Larry Hughes about the Cavs now this. Come on man. And for the record, Mo Pete didn't do much (except for that BS and1 at the end... that was a charge).

But a lot of this games' outcome had to do with the lineups Doc used:

    Rondo
    Telfair
    Ray
    Allen
    Scal

    Rondo
    Telfair
    Ray
    Allen
    Green

Stuff like that. But it's preseason, he wanted to give those guys some run, especially Ray. But Scal, I don't know why he played that much, preseason or not. He was absolutely terrible.

all the people down on Telfair have no idea what they're talking about. None. Telfair has played very well, and if Rondo wasn't on the Celtics, we'd all be praising Danny for the trade. Yes, the first two games of preseason his turnovers have been high, but thats to be expected, because a.) it's preseason and b.) the new ball..turnovers around the league are generally up. With that said, Rondo has played SPECTACULAR. Don't overlook Telfair, though.

I agree that Telfair has been playing good ball too. I really like Telfair as well, I can't deny it. He's shooting very well, showing his blazing speed, and getting to the line. But you can't argue that Rondo has been much better than him, and has a more complete game.

from the little I've seen, I think telfair could just be a scorer for us that will occasionally make plays. I can easily see Rondo as this team's #1 pg. I can even see him starting as early as late november.
