<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>After Kenny Thomas and Shareef Abdur-Rahim reportedly got into a near-fight at Kings camp, Ron Artest told the Sacramento Bee that it was one of the best fights he?d seen in practice, and then recalled a time when "Vitaly smacked Mike (Bibby) in the head." Bibby answered, "That never happened. That must have been one of those times Ron blacked out. You know he blacks out 75 percent of the time. He probably didn?t take his medicine this morning."</div>Fun story, imo. :HAHAHA: All joking aside; how will the Kings fare this season? Although the addition of Artest last year was a good one, I'm still not convinced they will get very far this year. Problem is: I don't have any good reasoning to back that up. Just a feeling.Other opinions?

I love hearing funny stories from players, usually everything you hear is just 'blah blah blah' garbage. Kenny Thomas is a beast, I wouldn't mess with him.

If I was a Kings fan I'd be glad they fought.Fire and passion instead of apathy and underachieving?

I love Artest but the West is just too strong for them to reach the playoffs I think.

HAHA! Funny story. Ya the kings are good but they wont make the playoffs this year, the west is just too strong. Also, Kenny Thomas is a beast, I have a friend that was at a club in San Antonio this summer and he said he was just walking and wasnt paying attention and he ran right into Kenny Thomas. He said it was like hitting a brick wall.So I dont think that I would mess with him.

What? Brad Miller, Mike Bibby, and Ron Artest and you think they CAN'T reach the playoffs!?They have so many matchup problems it isn't even funny. And lest we forget that after the Ron Artest trade they IMPROVED dramatically. They were bound for the lottery, and after the trade they fought uphill to make the playoffs. So technically you should only look at the Kings from AFTER the trade, which makes them a really dangerous squad.

I remember Kenny and Shareef getting into a fight back when Kenny was a Rocket and Shareef was a Hawk. They are both also fighting for the starting job.Ron Artest is funny, and so is Bibby, but the fight part isn't, not for a team with playoff hopes.

This is going to be a strong team to face, and a team I personally look forward to watching. Offensively they are going to have a good team, with good ball and player movement. Brad Miller gives you a good big man, that can provide distance on his shot as well as somewhat clear the lane just a bit so Ron Artest can use his strength to get to the rim, and Bibby can drive to the hoop. Bibby is a good point guard offensively, that can drive and shoot the three as well as pass. We already know about those three. Kevin Martin is gonna be solid in replace of wells. Martin offensively is very smart and good player, he has some of the best shot selection of any of the 2 guards in the league, as well as is very unselfish. As well as the bench is pretty good and will provide scoring with Abdur-Rahim, Garcia, Salmon, Williamson and the rookie Douby. I think they can make the playoffs this year.

I feel the King's can compete for a playoff berth, but thats about all they get. Simply put, they don't have a great bench and if I'm not mistaken Mike Bibby has been pretty consistent the past few years. Plus, isn't Brad Miller an injury concern?Excuse me if those two things are wrong, seeing as I haven't followed basketball for awhile. However, anyone should know the msot this team will get is a low playoff seed

With Grizzlies not going to playoffs, Kings will defiently make it to playoffs....even if the grizzlies were in playoffs, Kings wouldve made it.

Just to clear things up: I'm not saying the Kings won't make the playoffs. But for some reason, I don't think they will make it very far....

I am a huge kings fan... And I follow the team's activity religiously... and you mark my words... Sac will be in the playoffs... Mike B is dwon 20 lbs, and he is in the best shape of his life, playing defense and still scoring a ton. Ron is the best defender in the league, and can play above average offense as well. I think E Muss is the best coach to ever happen to the kings... and everyone will see a passionate ball club this yr

I think the Kings are a playoff team. They have 3 All-Star caliber players in Ron Artest, Mike Bibby, and the underrated Brad Miller. I am a huge fan of the up and coming swingman Kevin Martin. They need a better banger at the PF spot, but Kenny Thomas plays his role pretty well and Abdur-Rahim is ok. I like the addition of Quincy Douby, that boy can really score. I look for him to turn out to be like Bobby Jackson was for Sacramento, a good scoring combo guard off the bench for energy. John Salmons isn't anything special, but he has a solid game. Consistancy is a bi*ch for him though. But another guy I really like is Francisco Garcia, he is an excellent shooter. I remember watching him at Louisville and I knew he was going to be a pretty good player. I like the future tandem of Martin and Garcia. If Sacramento plays their cards right, no doubt they are a playoff team in my mind. I still think they should go out and try and trade for a banger and a backup center. But they are a very solid team.
