As brittle as they come. Broken collarbone in his first game back. A few weeks ago I said he could maybe be a good FA signing for the right price but he has simply proved to be constantly injured. All the guys on here that say the Gaborik trade was a bust... this guy hasn't done anything for Columbus while missing a lot of time. I don't see how we lost that trade, even though it wasn't a huge win we still won that trade.

You hear of trades that work well for both teams....Well, the Gab trade has been pretty bad for both

Right, because we know for sure Gaborik would have had those injuries here too. He missed about 25 games in 4 seasons for us playing Tortorella hockey, I dont think that's "as brittle as they come"

Dorsett is a very valuable player for us. We need about 3 more players like him. J. Moore is just dumb right now. However, people forget that he's barely played in the NHL. Essentially he's a second year player. He's barely played 90 games before this season and he's 22. MDZ is still 23 and has been asked to play out of position most of the season. Plus they are now being asked to play a system where they join the rush and pinch a lot. Those are really hard things to do as a young defenseman. It's hard to consistently make good choices when to pinch or rush. You need a lot of practice at it. Staal was terrible at it early in his career.

Who knows if he is hurt here or not Prod, but what we can talk about is the production we are getting from the trade versus the production CBJ is getting from the trade. And as dis said, right now it isn't pretty for either team.

The advantage we have is not having Gabby's huge contract. Our guys are all younger. And good chance we have at least 2 of them going forward, with a chnace to improve. Gabby may be one and done for them.

    We'll see.

I would take that deal any day of the week for us. Gaborik has done nothing but get hurt for the Jackets and he makes a ton of money. Brassard, Moore and Dorsett are all on our roster.

Feel bad for Gabby. He did a lot for us. While we the other 3, they basically all stink. Dorsett finally played a good game the other night. Other than that, has done little but is just a 4th lines. Brassard and Moore should be gone ASAP.

You put Dorsett with a couple of pansy linemmates, he is wasted. If you had him on a line with some other tough players, he would thrive.

Gabby has 8 goals and 12 assists in a whopping 30 games played for the jackets. I have no idea how anyone gripes about the trade. He hasn't done anything for them.

And when we end up flipping brassard at the deadline for a 1st or a solid prospect lets revisit this trade and see how it looks.

Agreed. Not to mention as I said, J. Moore is a second year player with a ton of potential and Dorsett is really important on our 4th line. Problem for Dorsett is the rest of the guys on his line are incompetent.

For a team that for the past couple of years should be trying to win a Cup, that would make the trade even worse as it'd further delay any return we'd get out of that trade.

Unless Moore develops into something that trade will just flat out be a bad trade for both teams.

That window is gone (2010-2012)... its time to focus on creating one for the final years of hanks prime (2014-2016).
