Nets Recall Taylor and Shengelia from Armor

The Brooklyn Nets announced Monday that guard Tyshawn Taylor and forward Tornike Shengelia have been recalled from the Springfield Armor (2-9), presented by MGM Springfield, and will join the team in Brooklyn.

Taylor and Shengelia each played a pair of games with the Armor over a weekend set inside the MassMutual Center. Taylor scored 15 points on 5-of-17 shooting from the field, while going 5-for-5 from the charity stripe over 32 minutes off the bench in Saturday's loss to the Skyforce. He finished off his weekend stint with the Armor by netting three points and logging four assists Sunday's 93-74 victory over the Maine Red Claws.

Shengelia made two starts with Springfield, playing 32 minutes Saturday and scoring 11 points by going 3-of-5 from the floor before fouling out against Sioux Falls. The 6-9 forward responded Sunday with a game-high 23 points including an 8-of-10 effort from the foul line against the Red Claws.

With these moves, the current Armor roster sits at 10 active players with one deactivation due to injury. Attached is an updated roster.

The Armor return to action Friday, December 27 at 7:00 p.m. to host the Delaware 87ers in the first-ever meeting between the two teams on the MassMutual Center court.
