This would work if the Niners hadn't been to the Superbowl and the NFC championship the past two years. When was the last time Seattle even got to the NFC championship? They've only been to the Superbowl one time, and that was in 2006. It's been 9 years man.
I'm not a Seahawk fan, nor a Niners fan. I just thought it was clever. From the responses by the Niners fans in this thread it seems it was a little grating.
I don't like either team, but I love how the retort is: "Yeah, but we've been the 1st and 2nd place losers the last two years!"
Nah, it's just funny fans of a team of never-has-beens run their mouths like they're the greatest ever because they had the best record for a chunk of this season. It's like the Blazers fans talking smack to Lakers fans. It's great being on top, but let's face it, as much as I hate the Lakers, we can't touch that franchise's accomplishments and history. The franchise is so storied that when they're down, you know they won't be down for long. To them, Blazers fans and their team ain't shit, and Blazers fans running their mouths seems ridiculous. Kinda like UW fans talking shit to UO fans. So yeah.... That's how Niners fans generally view Seahawks fans.
