They were supposed to be marquee matchups, but instead, they're crapuee matchups. Thunder VS Knicks is "one of the best teams in the league vs the underwhelming New York who gives a shit". Heat vs the Lakers in a game of "The 2 time defending champs against the Los Angeles YMCA team" Nets Vs Bulls? Seriously, will people in the rest of the country even watch? Hell, will people in Brooklyn and Chicago even watch that? The only decent game, with two teams that are actually good, is Houston at the Spurs. I understand why they made the choices they made, but wow, did they blow up in their faces.
The only small market teams are the Thunder and Spurs. The rest are all big market teams. It makes sense.
I forgot about the Warriors/Clippers game. that could be fun, but with the Warriors having a slow start (injuries and I'm sure other reasons), it's kind of a "meh, who cares" game. It's relegated to the Portland time slot though, and not just because it's a west coast team.
The NBA christmas commercial is funny because they have drose as one of the shooters in the jingle bell theme. And we all know he is not a good 3pt shooter. Found it humorous
The two big ABC games are the Knicks vs Thunder and Heat vs Lakers. Having the Lakers on is a joke everyone knew that team would be horrible. Should've had the Clippers on if they wanted a big market. DAntoni has actually done a better job coaching than many expected. I don't fault them for the Knicks game the East is so weak and they won over 50 games last year expectations were much higher.
Can't blame them for predicting what they did. When they released the tv schedule I was intrigued by the matchups, but man did things turn out different than we thought ! I always record all the games and have a hoop marathon late thru the night. This year I'll only watch the spurs/rockets and Clips/Ws
