The only way the Blazers lose is if they double team on the last play. And they do

Like I said earlier, we had a lot of chances to put this game away and we couldn't shoot when we needed a lead. Buzzer beating 3 by a PF...oh well, gotta live with that. Credit to Bosh, he played a great game!

    Defense is atrocious

No other way around it. You cannot lose to a Lebron less team at home. That is just a disgrace. If this defense doesn't approve we are screwed.

Why is this thread blank? Can we get this removed? It's just taking up space.

I agree. We lost the game early in the 4th. Blaming the loss on a 28 foot shot at the end is not a concern. My concern since game one are teams who effectively pressure our PG's 25 feet from the basket. Our PG's strengths are their shooting ability. They need help running plays against pressure teams. The other players need to come out and help.

The second unit has talent. But right now they get very few easy shots. It needs to be addressed. The first 5 minutes of the 4th was brutal to watch on offense.

    There you are!

Also, say that to the other 5 times the teams have lost to a lebronless Heat. (They are now 6-1 without him.)

OK I'm calm now, I almost regret making the thread, I'm a die hard fan and was heated when they double teamed. Stotts is doing a great job this year but my god the defense is killing me, That wide open Dunk Wade got at the end was BRUTAL! worse case this game should of gone to overtime, Instead Wade got a uncontested Dunk in 6 seconds which gave the Heat another Possession to win it. That was the worst game I have ever seen Lillard play, he had some just awful turnovers. For some strange reason I actually think they would of won if LBJ would of played, this shit seems to always happen when there's a star out. Oh well move on and win the next one please.

So you say we shouldn't lose to the heat without Lebron, yet they are 6-1 without him. Care to address that flaw in your statement?

The defense isn't very good at times but statistically very good at the end of games. The Heat missed multiple wide open shots in the 4th or it could have been a bigger margin. The bench is still suspect and Williams continues to be consistently frustrating. The offense is brilliant when moving the ball and people but when a lot of dribbling is going on like with Williams or Lillard at the top of the key, they don't look very good at times.

The 'D' is my biggest concern. I can't remember the last time a team was a legit contender with a defense ranked as low as Portland's is now. The offense can carry things on most nights but losses at home against the Rockets, Mavs and the Heat w/o LeBron is at least discussable. It doesn't make anyone who suggests such a troll or not a Blazer fan but a historically legit concern.

Respectable. I advise to do this after all losses though... calm down and get back to a rationale part of yourself.

Also, it was the turnovers more so than the defense. We had a great chance to really ice it when Miami was cold and just turned it over again and again. I can live with this outcome if it wasn't for the turnovers - then again, it wouldn't have happened had we taken care of the ball, obviously.

5-9 for 16 points and 7 assists is the worst game you've ever seen him play?

Statstically the 2nd game @SAC is the worst one I've seen him play...

This wasnt his worst game by a long shot... it was just damn good D by Miami. Lillard is still learning.

We were abused by Norris Cole in crunch time.

Teams have figured out how to take Lillard out of the game. Stotts needs to figure out how to counter it.

A full 4 points, 0 assists in your "crunch time" scenario, (The whole 4th quarter, mind you) with the last bucket he made with 3 minutes left.

6-1 are the heat without Lebron. Care to talk about that hole in your statement?
