Let's face it. The Bosh game-winner was an unlikely shot. He was way past the three-point line, and out of his range. I give him credit for making the shot, but without that miracle heave this was a Portland victory. The Blazers threw the ball away too many times (most of them by Lillard) but we were still leading this game with two seconds to play.
Losing to Miami without Lebron at home is not a good result at all. 5 TO Mo Williams come on even the TO friendly Batum only had one tonight you need to reign your self in.
I guess it depends on if you think they're "flattening out" a little bit lately of if they'll be able to sustain that .800 winning rate in the toughest part of their schedule - which means they're probably going to have hit another gear and not just play at the same level we've seen in the first third of the season.
Yes, it is. Win or lose, this was an important lesson to learn. We got to see one of, if not the, best teams in the league bringing their A-game (albeit without their best player.) Down the stretch we made some silly passes and went away from Aldridge when we probably shouldn't have, but we were right there when it mattered. My point is that I'm glad that our team is getting to see a little bit of that playoff type intensity because we ARE young and we don't have a lot of experience. I don't want to see a repeat of the Houston series, where our guys were caught completely off guard by the intensity that Houston brought in that series. As one of the best teams right now, we're getting the very best from every team, and I think that will really help us down the stretch and going into the playoffs.
Win or lose, this was a good lesson. But losing this game is a better lesson than had they won it. They need to learn there are consequences to their actions and that they aren't going to win every game by the grace of god in the last second.
