I know the world ended last night for some but I think this team has a great shot at winning 60 and actually think they will get there
The second half of Jan will be real interesting. In a 12 day stretch, the Blazers play Sa, Dallas, Houston, OKC, Denver, Minnesota, GSW, and Memphis - with 5 of the 8 being on the road. That is no cake walk for any team.
I guess it's a good thing they play the first half of the month then when they play six patsie teams in a row. Or were you under the impression that only the second half of the month counted?
If they at least go .500. That's four losses. They are allowed 16 losses between now and the end of the year. Mental toughness is still a concern for me with this team. Are they tough enough? Up until recently, I didn't think guys like LA, Nic were mentally tough enough. And to me, much of this seasons success hinges on these two. If these two stay focused, hungry and not become disinterested like they have been to this point. I think they will continue to win at pretty close to the same rate they have won at all year. Barring any major injuries. I bring up mental toughness because I think a defeat like the one last night can throw a team that is vulnerable in this department.

Even if we dip down to .500 play the second half of the season we'll be a 50 win team which is a nice season. Regardless of where we finish the first round of the playoffs is going to be brutal. If we are the top overall seed in the west or the 6th seed I think we have a real shot of both winning or losing that series.
If we go on a 12-game losing streak and end the first half 24-17, I think that's still about 4 games better than most would've guessed.
