That guy got knocked out while acting like an idiot in the last fight, so I have no sympathy for him.

The timing on that block was awesome. That was the biggest factor in Silva's leg shattering.

Chris did bring in a kickboxing guru to teach him some defense and it showed. Silva wasn't landing any solid kicks.

I've seen this kind of injury before, and it's a horrible thing to watch.

Tough lesson, but I guess he learned you never skip leg day.

Weidman checked him very well. He has Silva's number for sure.

Brutal injury, damn it still makes me sick just thinking about it.

After him getting beat last fight and suffering this horrific injury I can't imagine him ever becoming a champ again. He had a heck of a run, was one of my favorite fighters a few years ago before he did all the silly shenanigans.

Was hoping we'd see a superfight between him and GSP but it never happened. Both guys dominated for a long time.

I wonder if fighters will start using that kick less now...

Its happened in MMA before. No one stopped playing basketball after Kevin Ware's leg snapped in half, no one has quit on football or basketball after seeing horrific injuries.

It would definitely fuck me up mentally but I'm sure millions of people got up on Sunday and went back to their Muy Thai/kickboxing/etc. routine just like every other day.

I read right after the injury that Silva's corner thought he cracked the fibula earlier in the fight, dunno if thats true or not...
