There were no Benghazis on Bush's watch. The embassy in Baghdad was shelled by mortars fairly regularly, but we never lost our ambassador, and nobody lied about anything related the next day. Weak.

You had complained that no one had come to trial, and I told you that's because all the leaders are already dead. But you keep ignoring the facts and keep repeating whatever Fox tells you.
They're actually a lot different, tactically and strategically. First, there's a big strategic difference in killing an ambassador versus killing a soldier. You might as well say that Kennedy's assassination had no more or less effect than any one of the 58,286 deaths in Vietnam. For one, this wasn't just an instantaneous event that killed an ambassador (like the other 7, which were bombings, kidnapping/murders or sniper shots). It was a long-running gun battle, mortar shelling and riot. There has been significant reporting that the ambassador and his team called for help, and the "help" was told to stand down (or was just never sent). As I said, this isn't a guy stepping on an IED or killed in a shootout on a patrol--it was a credentialed ambassador who, in the middle of a battle called for help and was left hanging. Do any of those HuffPost attacks follow the trend of a consulate/ambassador asking for help and being left to die?
It seems only seven US ambassadors have been killed in history, all since 1965. The last two on Obama's and Carter's watch. It is a rare happening. As Brian said, this was an extended military style battle, with an ambassador being killed. There have been two more embassies attacked since Benghazi, and they're not being questioned like Benghazi. For good reason.
