I'd go with Steve Nash. Because not only does he know how to handle the ball on his own very effectively, he also knows how to pass it better than anyone without necessarily stopping his dribble and passing.
Kobe's definately up therethis is a really good question, I'm kinda stumped, I've always liked the way Bibby handles the ball, Steve Nash, Chauncey Billups handles the ball real well, my favorite from all-time would have to be Tim Hardaway, that guy was a magician with the basketball, so many different moves.
Nash and Iverson definitely are up there on the top. Kidd was very good at running at full speed on fast breaks but has lost some of his speed. Parker and Harris are blurs once they get full speed as well.
Jason Kidd is a REALLY good pick. Ball-handling is about more than just getting from one end of the court to the other while dribbling. Receiving, moving around, passing, all apsects are impacted by ball-handling. And J-Kidd is most definitely one of the best all-around. Being able to triple-double like he does means he understands how the basketball moves enough to rebound, shoot, and pass well enough, he's a good stealer... man he's probably the best ALL-AROUND out there when it comes to how the basketball moves.
Jwill, Jkidd, Dwade, Luke Ridnour.....pretty much all good point guards. And Kobe and Lebron..probably leaving out somebody though.

Alston. If the question was who is the best PG then what you said comes to mind.

Ballhandling is just pure dribbling to me. They help make up a point guard, but they are most definately not the same thing. As for who is the best ballhandler, and has the best dribbling I would have to say Steve Francis is atleast up there. That dude can do some unreal things with the ball, unfortunately he does not believe in passing or anything of that nature.
To me, Allen Iverson is the best ballhandler in the NBA. Others that should be mentioned:Steve NashJason KiddRafer AlstonJason WilliamsBaron DavisDwyane WadeAndre MillerChauncey BillupsAnd this guy, one of my favorite guys, is not a flashy And-1 "I'll cross you up" type of ballhandler, but as far as being under control he's one of the best: Eric Snow.

Protecting the ball should be part of ballhandling also. Not just fancy things.
Francis turned the ball over more when he tried to pass than he did when he tried to do his moves. He is as good as anyone else in the league at protecting the ball when he tries to drive to the rim.

So far he's been excellent, but before I proclaim him as a top ballhandler in the league, we will see if he keeps it up. He has definitely continued to impress, and as far as being a controlled ballhandler, how's this stat for you: 3 total turnovers (1 in each game) in 99 minutes of play. Also, Sebastian is a terrific ballhandler, he just loses control sometimes.
Yeah, can Rondo actually play in a NBA game that matters before we declare him amazing?I will say, so far so good for him.

Kobe can cross a lot of people. I remember seeing him mix the hell out of Brad Miller, but then Ron Ron fouled Kobe before he could let off a shot. Smush? Well, he's a natural ballhandler. He's been playing streetball (not And1; just regular ballpark basketball) since he was a child. He's a very good ball handler.Anyway, I think Rafer Alston, a.k.a Skip To My Lou, is the best ballhandler in the L. Then A.I comes in as a close 2nd.</span>

I pointed him out earlier on my list, he is such a heady player. He rarely makes mistakes, he plays within the team, good ballhandler and does not turn the ball over often, etc. I have always been a big fan of Eric Snow, and I believe he's incredibly underrated, and always has been. People don't give him enough credit because he's never put up moster numbers, but I have always loved his game and he's always been very solid and a very smart player. He also had a real good run when he played over in Philly.
