You make it sound like Dre is a free agent. Doubt DEN has Dre send himself anywhere he wants to go.

The difference is Stotts likes to run four 3-point shooters with LaMarcus on the offensive end late in close games. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but some adjustments would be required if that changed to Miller, Aldridge and three 3 point shooters.

The other good thing about Andre Miller is he had great chemistry with LaMarcus Aldridge when he was here. LaMarcus loved playing with Miller. So, this is the kind of move that would have minimal chances of disrupting this team's excellent chemistry.

At first blush I liked this idea, still might, but remember we also have CJ right around the corner. Miller is a pain in the ass if he isn't playing, and between CJ, Lillard and Wes, not to mention Mo and Watson, I think this trade could spell trouble. Only way I touch it is if we are sending out Mo in the process.

How funny would it be to see Dre go to the L*kers, only to come off the bench behind Steve Blake again?

you misunderstand my intention here. it's trade scenarios for both teams. Lakers have Gasol on the block, Knicks have Shumpert on the block. My point is Dre is not a guy who wants to play Earl Watson minutes...that's why he's having problems in Denver. It's the Lakers and Knicks I see going after him more than him wanting to be either place. nobody would be happier to have Dre back than me

I can see the minutes being an issue but I can't see LA or NY trading either of those guys for Dre. Gasol makes way too much money, DEN would have to gut their team to make a deal for him. And Shumpert is thought of very highly around the league while Dre is great he is on his way out of the league.

A Mo for Dre swap would make so much sense. LA would be so thrilled.

    On a real note

Portland's offense is about the 3pt shot and spreading the floor. Terry Stotts loves him some floor spacing.

That leaves when Dre "Coach Killer" Miller enters the game. Teams would double off of him and he wouldn't be able to make them pay. That changes the offense in a way Terry Stotts would never want it to.

They've lost 8 straight. His outburst was warranted.

This kinda thing is nothing new for Dre. He called out Nate's stupidity here as well.

You HAVE watched Mo Williams, right?

You think Stotts prefers his point guard to dribble at the top of the key for 15-20 seconds before making a last second pass or jacking up a bad shot?

His play in December wasn't great, but he was just fine in November.

Yes, I'd rather stick with Mo.

His play hasn't been good at any point this season. His PER is flat out horrible.

There was a point at the beginning of the season where he was running the team better than Lillard. He played well in November.

About half his games in November were good, the other half were shitty. If he would play like "Good Mo" instead of "Shitty Mo," I would have no problem with him.

No thanks. Our offense is predicated on constant motion. Dre is too old.

Unless he gets enough minutes to make him happy then he is not helpful. Some vets like Earl are helpful just being on the bench, at practice, and in the locker room. Andre is a grumpy old man. (albeit one that can still play) LMA and Lopez would get more easy baskets.

I would base it on CJ. If they think CJ is ready to help at the 2, he and Andre might be a good tandem. But then again maybe CJ and Mo would fit even better?

Dre singlehandedly saved Nate's Job by giving stability to the team when we lost Roy.

    On a REALLY real note...

What coach has Andre Miller ever gotten fired? If you're going to label him a coach "killer" please provide examples to support your accusation. It wasn't Andre Miller that FINALLY got Nate fired in Portland. It was his successor, Fatty Felton and his Voodoo Donuts fueled player mutiny that ran Nate out of town.
