Lots of talk about the three point shooting. I think it's a wash.

The real difference between these two teams, are turnovers and free throws.

Portland is better suited for the play-offs and the better team in my opinion because they have a 9% advantage at the FT line, and are ranked 1st in Ast/To (GS is ranked 19th).

Oh, I didn't get that far, I guess someone finally DID mention FTs. So, that leaves Ast/To. GS struggles with the ball movement.

GS is the better defensive team and slightly better rebounding thus far.

GS's jerseys are more yellow. That's what you should have gone with.

GS is the inferior offensive team.

Half of 1% (0.5%) is the difference in defensive rebound percentage - GS margin of error advantage.

3.2% is the difference in offensive rebounding percentage - Blazer advantage.

And then there's that pesky 27-7 record that seems to trump all of this.

I don't think it's that simple mags. If the Blazers build a lead on OKC while Westbrook is hurt and then OKC starts to make ground on the Blazers when Westbrook comes back but can't catch the Blazers before season end, does that make the Blazers better than OKC. Las Vegas would probably say no.

Well we beat them when they had Westbrook and if we have HCA, I like our chances...

Blazers are the best team in the NBA. It's a good thing they don't listen to Vegas, or silly fans.

Ya. Typo. Philly is next, so let's just call it clairvoyance.

I'll take Stotts over Mark Jackson in any playoff series. That's our advantage...the rosters match up pretty well.

I compare one thing. Record. Nothing else counts. You can talk what if's and pers and god knows what else, but at the end of the season all that counts is who has more wins. Right now Portland has the best record in the West. When playoff seeds are assigned it won't be on what if's, it will be on record.

We're better at every position. Why is this even a debate?

With Paul hurt and the Warriors surging, it looks like Warriors will have a top 4 seed and will be favored in first round.

oldmangrouch pontificated that the warriors would be a lower seed; why can't I offer another scenario?
