<span style="font-family:Book Antiqua">Lakers would. Why? Well, they'd most likely dish the ball out to Kobe. With Kobe's new mentality, if he were getting double teamed, he'd pass the ball to a wide open player. With Radmonovic waiting at the three-point line or Lamar wide open for a mid-jay, I think the Lakers would dominate the game. They wouldn't win by 40 points, but wouldn't win by 2 or 3 neither. Phil Jackson's triangle offense would work Magic without HIV.</span>
Assuming everyone is healthy, give me Pacers. Lakers are weak down low, and Jermaine O'Neal would have a field day, along with Harrington. Outside of Kobe, Pacers have a better backcourt. The only thing the Lakers really have over the Pacers is a much better SF.Unless Kobe went for 40PPG in the series, I feel Pacers would win in 6.

Kwame's one of the best post defenders in the league, O'neal would have trouble with his offense. Kobe and Odom are both better than whoever Indiana could put on them. Vlade might have some trouble on D, but if that became a problem, they could just put Mihm in and punish Indiana inside.
JO would easily have a great series on Kwame. And are you talking about Kwame's offense? The guy who had 3 good games against a team without their 2 big men and at that time one of the most pathetic interior defenses ever?

Kwame is one of the better big man defenders in the league. Just look at his matchup with Shaq on Christmas last season or when he guarded Duncan during the season.
With both of them down on the block, I feel both Harrington and O'Neal would play well. Outside of Kwame, the Lakers have very little down low, and I don't think just Kwame could keep O'Neal and Harrington below their averages in PPG and RPG.

Mihm could more than fill in for Vlad Rad. O'neal would have to guard him, leaving Kwame guarded by the much smaller Al Harrington.
At his very best, Kwame is a 10-12PPG scorer, no matter who he plays. He is not an offensive juggernaut that Harrington/O'Neal are, and they will not make an extra focus on to stop Kwame. O'Neal is a 20-25PPG scorer, and Harrington a 15-20PPG scorer...in other words O'Neal/Harrington/Foster/Granger will dominate Brown/Vlad/Mihm/Cook.
But the Pacers have no one in the frontcourt that I think would be able to matchup at ALL with Kobe. He could go off for 40+ per game. With that, the Lakers might be able to pull it off.
I think Kwame would take on O'neal quite well. He shut down KG in a game, now that was sick. And if the Lakers posted up Lamar, he could work on some of Indy's bigs and maybe force some foul trouble. You guays are forgetting Ronnie Turiaf though, he'd do a good enough job on both ends. All that coupled with the fact that Kobe could easily put up 40ppg on them, makes me like the Lakers.
PacersWe can put marquis daniels, stephen jackson, danny granger, or al harrington on kobe. Jermaine would have a paint pary, and odom wouldn't do squat.
How would Odom be stopped, they'd have to focus all their backcourt defense to stopping Kobe, which would leave Lamar to freelance and score at will.
The Lakers would probably win just because of Kobe. Kobe would average like 38 ppg in the series, and Kwame would do a good job on Jermaine.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pacers fan forever @ Oct 22 2006, 03:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>PacersWe can put marquis daniels, stephen jackson, danny granger, or al harrington on kobe. Kwame Brown is one of the best post defenders in the League.

Kwame Brown is not a smart defender, he's a reflex defender. In this case, Jermaine would outsmart him on every play with fakes.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Lakaboy42 @ Oct 22 2006, 03:04 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>How would Odom be stopped, they'd have to focus all their backcourt defense to stopping Kobe, which would leave Lamar to freelance and score at will.</div>because who ever is not on kobe will be on odom. say granger and daniels is on kobe. Kobe is one of the greateset scoring machines in NBA history. He's burned just about every top notch defender in the league. If Phil Jackson told him he needed to take over for them to win the game, he would destroy anyone the Pacers would put on him. They would need to double him, which would leave Odom open to score. If they put Harrington on Odom, LA has one of the best spot up shooters in the league in Radmanovich who would make them pay.

Im sorry, but Stephen Jackson and Danny Granger can not stop the best offensive player in the league.

I said granger, harrington, and daniels as well. stephen jackson would be like the 4th option to guard kobe.
