"Kurt Thomas would listen to interest from NBA teams and is aiming to make a return with a contending organization, according to agent Jerry Hicks." http://basketball.realgm.com/wireta...nterested-In-Signing-With-Contending-NBA-Team If he has anything left this is the type of Veteran big this team needs.
Eh... no thanks. We would have to cut someone and I don't think Kurt is better than Freeland at this point.
I would dump Claver. He will not be on this team next year and has little if any value. I am certain Thomas could give 10 mins a game when needed and as mentioned, six fouls. Also, being an over 10+ year vet, does the league pay his salary as it did in the last CBA?
Nate- why would you even mention Freeland? Of course, we won't trade him. He's having a great year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't think you actually read the posts. 1) I said Thomas isn't as good as Freeland 2) Nobody ever mentioned a trade Read what other people actually say, then post.
I read what you wrote. You said "I don't think.." as if it were up for debate, like you were offering an opinion. He's not better. Couldn't understand why you would even mention it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Freeland is our backup center. I don't think Thomas is as good as Freeland so what's the point of picking him up?
I would think the point would be for a #3 guy. It didn't cross my mind to compare KT to JF. They are in different leagues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
41...damn, that is old. If Freeland is not better than a 41 year old who has been retired for a couple of years, we have bigger issues than we thought on the bench.
Well, firstly, we're talking about adding a bench player, not a starter, so that comparison makes no sense. More accurately would be "I think Jack is better than Mo Williams," because they're both backup point guards.
I am thinking there will be games we will need another big that has experience and six fouls to offer. I don't want Robinson trying to play center when we are in a playoff push. thomas can play both the 4 and 5, Robinson can not.
I am note looking for Thomas to replace Freeland, I want him to back him up and also play some 4 if needed. I another experienced 10+ year vet was available that can play the 4/5 I would want to take a look at him too.
Come the end of the season/playoffs, Leonard should only see the court in a blowout. No meaningful minutes as he is still very lost out there.
