Eli blows now. Time to think about drafting a QB after they fix the OL

Sometimes a player just loses it. I think Eli has lost it. I mean, any other QB in the league with his current stats would be benched right now. His stats look like a scrub backup who went in for a season after the starter got hurt. It's absurd.

Unless Eli gets a new OC, a new OL, a new TE, a RB who can run a screen pass - things will not get any better. This is the worst offensive line I have ever seen, and Gilibride is long overdue to get fired. Unless changes are made around him - Eli will finish his career throwing 30 INTs/yr.

I think maybe a couple of QB's would have done better with what you mentioned above... horrible OL, horrible OC, horrible RBs, hell, even a head coach that Eli has... not too many though... there are just too many flaws on this team to just pin it all on Eli...

And they just drafted Nassib... why draft another QB?

You got it hammer - the Giants are simply flawed in many places. I actually think Wilson can be a very good back, but he's not going to succeed in this offense, and with this coach (who clearly doesn't like him). Nicks needs to be let go - period. The guy has no more athletic ability, can't fight for a ball on 1-1 match-ups, and when he was joking with the Seattle players in the 4th quarter - fuck him - that bothered me.

I would love to see Norv Turner brought in as an OC. He wasn't HC material, but as an OC - I think he has few peers.

Unless TC is told to let Wilson run the ball and do so without both arms on the ball because he's scared, TC can be fired as well. He's a moron with rookies. Both coordinators are. D. Moore can be a pass rushing beast. He never plays on the DL and their pass run has sucked all season.

I agree the OL blows. His WR's also don't get open any longer. However, I'm not sure that Eli isn't getting old fast. The QB they drafted last year stinks. I saw nothing from him to tell me he will ever be a starting QB.

Eli is not worth a "substantial" contract

Eli will have to do another contract restructure to give this team more cap space.

It has been mentioned that he'll be getting something similar to what Romo got... that's a lot... Manning signed his deal in 2009 and restructured it in 2012, he has a high base salary ($13 million) and a significant deferred proration of his signing bonus ($7.35 million) counting towards his 2013 salary cap figure.... The problem with the final two years of his contract are his base salaries. Manning is set to earn $15.2 million next season and $17 million in 2015. His cap numbers are $20.4 million and $19.75 million, respectively.... and Romo's deal is extremely creative but the cap hit was $11.8M this year, ~$21.8M next year, $25.3M in 2015, $15.1M, $19M, $19.5M, & $20.5M... so they might do something where the cap hit in a couple of different years might have lower numbers and others have higher... either way, it'll get re-worked and he'll be paid handsomely...

They were stupid to offer him that much money in the first place.

Any team is stupid to offer that kind of money to any player...
