...ARod and his impending arbitration ruling. ...I don't think he'll get the full 211 games, but I do think he'll be suspended for the entire 2014 season (including any possible PS games) I say this because I don't think the arbitrator wants to come across at being biased against ARod in case they try to take the ruling to court. (not that it will do him any good) ...even if this does happen, IMO, he's still getting off easy. My hope is that ARod will eventually agree to some sort of buyout or maybe have himself declared unable to play any more and let the insurance policy absorb his remaining salary.
Yeah, I think everyone is pretty much tired of all the drama and tired of ARod's act in general. If they suspend him for 2014 it's a win for everyone to a certain degree.
...^^^ nothing wrong with being greedy. The 3 basic human emotions are, greed....fear.................and greed.
I think it's quite absurd there hasn't been a ruling yet. They could've had a murder trial and sentencing with the amount of time this nonsense is taking.
I agree Messiah. With that said, I feel that the arbitrator should be highly infuriated with Team Arod. Given the evidence (which we may never know) and the lack of respect that Team Arod has shown this hearing, I feel that he will get the full penalty. The hearing, was a tool for the players association which Arod is a member, to voice their opinions and present fact that the claims against Arod were either false, or the punishment to punitive. Do you think he did either in proving his innocents?
...yeah, if I were the arbiter I think I'd be a bit miffed at ARod and his side show too...especially the scene he created at the end of the appeal by throwing a tantrum and walking out...but like I said, I think the he's also quite aware that he cannot afford be so obvious with respect to his disdain for ARod...that's why I think he'll reduce the suspension so that everybody wins...even ARod to a degree. If he's suspended for all of 2014 instead of 211 games, he may, in his twisted mind, perceive that as some sort of moral victory. ...cue the "we crushed it" cliche' once again.
