I went to it today. It was kind of dissapointing that I only saw the players for 15-20 minutes and part of that time for some half court shooting contest for prizes, but the dancers were hot, I had good seats and this is what I thought about the scrimmage:Amare looked okay. He was kind of slow and his shot wasn't going down, but he seems to be healthy now and ready to work on his conditioning and getting used to playing on this team. In the game he had a pretty nice dunk and an very nice block that brought back memories of the old Amare. He's slowly getting his hops back.Marcus Banks wasn't there for some reason.Steve Nash was just Steve Nash, making good passes, scoring and letting Davin White own him on the other end. Marion was everywhere, getting rebounds, had a couple nice alley-oop dunks...shooting wasn't great but everyone was kind of sloppy but it was only a practice.Like I say about all the 15th men who play on the Suns, Davin White is the best 15th man in the league. I was amazed when he took an alley-oop from Barbosa for the jam. He's a pretty small guy. He also had a 3.Barbosa was good. James Jones was average but the effort was there. Marks and Burke were terrible. Piatkowski, I think, didn't play the scrimmage but was only there shooting in the half court shot contest. If he played I didn't see him.Kurt Thomas didn't do much. Neither did Bell, but I think he made a shot, it was a short scrimmage. Jumaine Jones looked pretty good in the very short time he was playing.I forgot about Diaw, he was also good. He was having a quiet but productive scrimmage.I know that's not much but that is all I could take from a 10-minute scrimmage. BTW, that mini inflated Gorilla is AWESOME. :shifty2: Great dancer.
You're right I went too BOGUS I was lookiing forward to really seeing how the new players play and all I saw of the new guys is sean marks got an alley-oop from davin white and jumaine jones made a three. Marcus Banks didn't even show up. AMARE DIDN'T EVEN GET THE BALL IN THE PAINT. He was wide open half the time and they never got him the ball.
I found out why Marcus Banks wasn't there. He went back home to Las Vegas early for his grandmother's funeral I think.
