A surprisingly good first period. We more than held our own and Hank has looked on point. Hope they keep this up the next 40 minutes because this Blackhawk team can explode at any time.

Have not liked this first five minutes of the second and now Brassard takes a penalty. Keep shutting it down hank.

hate how this team begins to look so defeated when things don't go their way. they need to push back here before the third.

When does the 2nd period start? Solid 1st up 2-0. Hope we can hold that lead when the 2nd period actually starts.

We should play this game under official protest. The Hawks cut the ice in half during intermission. There is no Hawks zone in the 2nd period, and that is not fair.

Prime example of Lundqvist not being himself this season. No excuse for that tying goal.

This game typifies why we need more forwards with size and reach..and skill.

:). It's all good. I don't judge how other people choose to be fans. Some people cling onto things and hope against hope their team wins and think the only way to be a fan is sit in the fetal position saying we are good over and over again. Some people try and stand back and be honest about what they are seeing. To each their own. I don't judge anyone. I don't think either way makes you a better or worse fan.

To me for this team, I think we should be looking at moves that can help us this year only if they can help us next season as well. That's just the way I see. You cannot give up on a season with 37 games left and being only a few points back, that would be crazy, but with that said this team is simply way too flawed to really win big this season. That's just reality. Make smart moves that can help this season, but also next season. No way do we make moves that can hurt us next season and the season after just to try and slip in at 7 or 8 this season. I personally don't see the logic in that. But again, to each their own. I respect that fully.

Feel like there's certainly been a good amount of that going on here lately.

But hey lets find a way to win this one against the best team in the league. Come on hank, give us one of those no one is scoring on me ever periods we haven't seen it outside of a game against dallas earlier in the year.

Really? I havent seen a single person on here do that. I've seen quite a few who say that January is way too early to give up on a season and quite a few who have thrown in the towel already. Haven't seen anybody on this board "in the fetal position saying we are good over and over again."

Let's not bicker. No upside to that. We are all Ranger fans in here who want the best for the team. We'll see how it goes from here on out. Hopefully good things.

Several people have taken my view that this team should be a seller this season as an opportunity to question if I'm actually a Ranger fan. All of which including yourself are holding out on some hope that we "aren't that far away" or "are a trade or two away" from being a good team this season. Again, I disagree with that line of thinking.
