We need a thread to point out the fact and remind Blazer fans that EVERY good team loses several games during the season to teams they should beat.

Last night... Knicks beat Miami and Denver beat OKC.

The Sac loss was tough, but I think they're tough team for us. Boogie is like our worst nightmare because of how bad our interior defense is. The guy can virtually score whenever he wants to. I was frustrated with the loss to Philly. We had the lead and we just weren't motivated. There was no intensity. We knew we had blown them out about a month ago and you could see there wasn't any respect for that club. Once again, we were abused in the paint, this time by Thad Young. Our interior defense needs to improve.... a lot.

When we play harder than our opponent we're very likely to win. So, it's frustrating as a fan because when we lose it almost always means we didn't play harder than the other team. Say what you want about Sacramento (for example), but they wanted it more than we did.

The good news is that this same truth seems to hold for other top teams like the Heat and Thunder, and they lose to sub-.500 teams too.

Boogie Cousins is becoming a monster before our very eyes. We all applaud LA for his great season and rightfully so but Boogie is posting 23.5 and 11.5 a night while playing 5 minutes less per game. He is also adding a BLK and 1.9 STL per night with 3 AST. Add in a skilled but over paid Rudy Gay and the offensive spark plug that is Isiah Thomas and this team is headed in the right direction. If McClemore actually develops and they get a stud this year in the draft this team could be in playoff contention by next year. For once the sky is not falling in Sacramento.

The Heat have lost to Brooklyn, so that's 2 in a row against sub-.500 teams. It's the first 2 games on a 6 game road trip. They've fallen to 27-10 which is worse than us even with our recent troubles.

The Heat are doing a better job at tanking than we are.

If I'm the coach I put Aldridge on Cousins on defense and use Lopez as double-teamer, help defender.

The Heat lose 100% of their games when they play Greg Oden.

Indiana lost a point and a half off of the Hollinger Robot Power Ranking value as a result of their loss to Phoenix. That puts us a point and a half away from Indiana. That's how close all of these teams are to each other. There's a cluster from 1-4, then a big break, then a cluster 5-7, then a big break, then a clust of 8-11...

    Kyrie wants out.

That can't be good for their LBJ push this summer.
