That to me is a sure sign he will be traded.

Im warming up to the idea of going after him. He can play both positions if needed and we know about his size and blast of a shot. All things the team is missing. If the Jets took a package around Girardi or DZ, Miller and a 1st i'd try and get it done..even if they have to throw in an extra pick or prospect.

You must drink heavily 71. I wouldn't offer Girardi straight up for Byfuglien. Girardi is a better player.

You're crazy dude. Plus Girardi is a UFA.

Byfuglien is a horrific defensive player. He's also dumb on the ice and often is unmotivated. There was a reason Chicago didn't keep him and why the Jets are looking to deal him.

Ask yourself this 71. How many dumb things have the BlackHawks done the past 5 years?

Yeah he's not very good defensively, but he's on pace for 65 points and at worst can be used as an extra D if needed. Plus he's signed for 2 more years. His physicality and shot are key things we're missing right now. He can change a game in that way. The only thing that concerns me is he can't seem to control his weight, you'd think someone would help him get that controlled. I'm not his biggest fan by any stretch but he does fill needs this years team is sorely lacking.

Plus we have McDonagh and Staal as defensive dmen, they need a guy who can blast away from the blueline, badly.

I wouldn't offer up any 1st or 2nd in a deal for him. Rangers need to rebuild their farm badly. No way I offer up Lindberg or Miller. Those two guys are going to be our 3rd and 4th line centers. Only thing that makes sense is a package of Boyle and MDZ for him. Allen can replace MDZ. Move Byfuglien up front and have McIlrath or Allen replace MDZ.
