NBC Sports says he's been a fringe NBA player for years. He was just cut by Atlanta. He's 29, a 6'7" SF who can hit 3s. The Bulls passed on former Kentucky C Daniel Orton, a big 7' guy who plays a position we are most shallow. Orton is 22.

Although he played well for us, I am surprised he was resigned, especially after the Teague trade. IMO, we need a 3rd pg. Hinrich's past tells me he is going to go down sometime soon. Augustin cannot be expected to play 48 minutes a game, game after game.
I suspect their thinking is that they can always pick up Mike James, or a comparable, um, talent, if they need to.
Kirk left the game with a hamstring injury last night and did not return. Somewhere, James' cell phone will be ringing. I assume after Martin's 2nd deal runs out so they can save money.
