This guy has a fancy name. That's kind of neat. Hopefully he'll help with the losing.

NBC Sports says he's been a fringe NBA player for years.

He was just cut by Atlanta.

    He's 29, a 6'7" SF who can hit 3s.

The Bulls passed on former Kentucky C Daniel Orton, a big 7' guy who plays a position we are most shallow. Orton is 22.

He looked like he was cheering pretty hard from the bench and has properly integrated himself into the middle of the guys on the bench.

In order to help the TANK though, he'd have to play instead of Dunleavy.

Cartier Martin, Bulls Agree On Second 10-Day Deal

Cartier Martin has agreed to sign a second 10-day contract with the Chicago Bulls, a league source told RealGM.

Martin has averaged five points while making five of his eight shot attempts in three games with the Bulls – including scoring 11 on two three-pointers in his debut on Dec. 11. His first 10-day deal had expired on Sunday.

I believe that 2 is all he gets. It'll be interesting to see what they do at month's end.

Although he played well for us, I am surprised he was resigned, especially after the Teague trade. IMO, we need a 3rd pg. Hinrich's past tells me he is going to go down sometime soon. Augustin cannot be expected to play 48 minutes a game, game after game.

I suspect their thinking is that they can always pick up Mike James, or a comparable, um, talent, if they need to.

Kirk left the game with a hamstring injury last night and did not return.

Somewhere, James' cell phone will be ringing. I assume after Martin's 2nd deal runs out so they can save money.
