John, in the picture it seems you & your clone are emerging from dueling porta potties and both not standing up so good. Yet y'all look happy and very pointy. Is this a frozen work position that the two of you're stuck in or some sort of #2 pose/victory dance?

He didn't say 3 points or less. He said 3 points. So we've won 13 games by exactly 3 points? I actually believe that.

Actually, we are 3-0 in games decided by 3 points.

This is just a fine thread BF! Thank you for posting it. This Blazer squad is truly a place for players to have career years. Just like JJ did last season, I think Robin will surpass most expectations by playoff time. He just keeps getting better. I have become a complete Terry Stotts fan this season. This guy puts a great brand of basketball on the court

There's lots of fun stats out there I'm sure I miss. Dame with a career high 41 points for instance. oops Updated.

    5th in fewest TO PG

    1st in FT%
    1st in 3P%
    10th in FG%

    Pretty awesome.

I think we shot 48% from 3 against Boston tonight, that's pretty darned good! So few fans see the beauty of the team as one great single entity instead of a bunch of parts. The sum is greater in this case for sure.

I just want the defense to be top 12. That's what will really make us tough to beat.

I'd settle for 15th. And be really OK with 1st too.

I get the defense isn't great. I just don't understand why it's such an issue for some to be so critical when, in fact, it is an improvement over last season. Portland was supposed to miss the play-off this year.

I've been saying this for a couple of years now...two words...Bill Laimbeer...two more words...defensive coordinator. I'm sure our asst coaches are all fine, knowledgeable guys but you need a rock star defensive coach on the bench and if anything could improve this team, I think he's the guy

And I'm by no means complaining...this is my favorite Blazer team in years and I'm thrilled with the chemistry and Stotts as a coach

A lot of people say we should be thrawting the east and that we suck because we can't put them away.

    Perspective:

    Portland 14-2
    Miami - 17-8
    Indiana - 21-5
    LA Clippers - 9-6

I know what you're saying. The game slows down, and we're going to be playing teams like the Heat who had a damn good game plan against our jump shots and Lillard especially. We need those grind out wins against the top teams... which we have done (OKC, etc). But, we need it to be more consistent, especially if we are seeing them 4-7 times in a row.

Yup. Can't force anyone to appreciate something they don't want to or aren't aware of. I love watching this team. Tonight was the first time I felt like falling asleep in the 2nd half, but I blame the team for playing like they were asleep at times. But how about that front court, RoLo with 15/13, LA 21/13, Batum 16/7/7... they boys are gonna have so many record breaking/career setting stats by seasons end.

I don't get upset when I read dumb stuff like that. But it's so amusing to want to point it out and ask, "Did y'all see this dumb stuff too?" lol

I honestly hadn't read the "should be beating/not struggling with" the east stuff. That's one's too easy to shut down.

It's just people looking for loopholes. I'm okay. I just show something, and let them take it as they will. If they want to honor it, then so be it. If not, it's not on me anymore.

    Stop complaining. Seriously. Stop. lol

Sry. I just think it's funny when people say they aren't something, or aren't doing something, and then go on to say something, or do something that people perceive is exactly what you said you weren't or weren't doing. lol

Dwight Jaynes comes to mind, "I'm not saying this to disparage [Mo], but...", and "I'm not a Homer...".

It's looking to explain why the Blazers should suck, and do suck, and will fall back to earth, and be the suck they said the Blazers were before they started to appear to not suck.

When Blazer fans talk about stuff like that, I don't see how that's consistent with being a Blazer fan. Sounds like generic NBA fan comments.
