The Iowa Barnstormers Head Coach and Director of Football Operations, Mike Hohensee, announced today that the team has been assigned veteran defensive back, De'Mon Glanton.
"De'Mon elevated his game to the next level last year. So, we're glad to have him back," said CoachHohensee. "His physical play and ability to recognize what the offense is trying to accomplish was evident throughout the season. He's one of the cornerstones of our defense."

Glanton (6-1, 205, Mississippi State) returns to the Iowa Barnstormers for his third season after a standout performance in 2013. Voted Iowa's 2013 Defensive Player of the Year, Glanton led the team in both tackles (95) and interceptions (6). In his rookie season, also with the Barnstormers, Glanton starred in 11 games accounting for 38 tackles.

Prior to his AFL debut in 2012, Glanton played four seasons (2005-2008) as a member of the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Recognized for his speed and aggressive plays, the defensive back racked up 134 tackles and 5 interceptions in 48 career games. The Atlanta, GA native defended 23 passes during his collegiate football career.
