Per twitter minor league deal. Hope they have more to come or 3rd base will be a giant gaping hole. Meant to say close to deal not or...

...I'm guessing they made this move because Reynolds won't accept a minor league deal?

...fine with me, I wasn't crazy about Reynolds returning anyway.

I still wouldn't rule them out from signing Stephen Drew..................They can't go into 2014 thinking Jeter will be ready to go for the whole season. With the money now freed up with the Arod 162 game suspension I can see them finally making their last big signings of the off season.

That's terrific. A guy that has only played 160 games in 3 years & only 2 games in the last 2 years. Yeah, I'm sure he'll help out a lot. Thank god its only a minor league deal because that's where he'll stay.

Look at the bright side Rick, it wasn't a package deal where we signed his brother to. Unrelated, how many of you old folks remember his Dad? Ted.

Heard the name, don't know his work that well. No cause for worry though, unlike last year the Yankees jumped quickly on quality players instead of dumpster dipping in late March. An invite to spring training is one thing, making the team is another issue. Besides that some competition for a "job" is always healthy. Would like to see the Yanks get Michael Young in there though.

For some strange reason the Yankees are showing little to no interest in Drew. Though many predict that he will end up in NY. But as a Met.
