Not to mention, who cares if Kessel has 21 goals when he is on the ice for just as many or more. If you don't like the thead, don't respond to it and create one of your own.
Come on, aside from #2 that wasn't so bad...Really though, if they guy scores, flys on the ice and has great hands what difference does it make? The guy is a stud player.
The concept of the defensive zone is lost on Kessel. He has no idea where it is. You're on crack if you think he's 6'1. I don't care what he's listed at. He's about 5'11 and 215. FAT SLOB. He needs to stop eating and get in shape.
His cap hit is $8m/yr....definitely overpaid....I don't watch the Leafs enough to know what he looks like in the defensive zone. But the guy is a perennial 30+ goal scorer.
In his last 32 games, Kessel has 22 points and is a -10. That's because he's fat. He's out of shape. There was a reason Boston dumped him. He's soft and lazy as a hockey player.
Or the leafs play bad team defense and get average goaltending. And seriously why did you just make Phil Kessel of all players the one youve decided put your sights on? hes a goal scorer who cares how his defense is????
Leafs are 7th in the league in team save %, they have as good a 1-2 combo of goaltenders as any team in the league Team defense I agree w you though, I think Phaneuf is as overrated as it gets
haha, yea this is a random thread by Dump. Kessel is 26yo and already has 200+ career gls, 4 seasons with 30+, probably will have his 5th this year and last season played at a 34gl pace. The guy knows where the net is and how to put the puck in it. He may not win the Selke, but a -3 this year isn't bad at all. I wish our players were as fat as Kessel
I think what dump is trying to say is that Kessel would be even a better player all-around if he was in a decent shape. Kessel probably eats freaking crap fast food and does not care about his diet.
I just happened to spot a picture of him. Infuriates the crap out of me when high paid pro's are fat, out of shape slobs. All athletes should have a body fat clause in their contract. You go over, your pay is cut in half.
It's remarkable how bad he is but the media is too in love with him to admit it. The guy gambles constantly and never clears the front of the net. He also chases guys around his zone trying to get into personal battles but never fights (leaving his D partner on an island). Talk of him being on the bubble for Team Canada was laughable.
