Arod is the focus of one of their major stories. Bosch claims that Arod associates tried to force him not to testify. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/first-details-in-rodriguez-case/
I already saw a quick preview of the Q & A on sports center earlier today & that's enough for me. Besides Bosch is another one trying to cover his own ass.
...now that a decision has been handed down, all sorts of skeletons are falling out of the closet...I'll say it again, ARod is toast. ...a disfigured reputation can never be fully remedied.
Nothing new really other that Bosch laid out ARod's regime in detail. Pretty crazy these players have been doing all that crap and still passing the tests. He did talk about beating the tests and all they did to make sure his blood was testing clean. Said ARod orignally came to him asking about what he had given Manny to make him so good and he began from there. They showed some of the text messages and though they used code words, they are rather obvious. Talking about shooting Alex up and how he got paid $12k per month. Selig and Rob Manfred were on there which I think was a poor decision. Manfred said they did indeed pay the $125k for the evidence and they had concerns for Bosch's safety as did Bosch himself and the main individual that Bosch was afraid of was a known ARod associate. The main thing that came out of this for me was what all the sports are up against in dealing with PED's. The fast acting, fast leaving stuff that's out there now makes it really hard for current testing to catch the users. Right now, they are almost relying on people exposing these doctor's and clinics like what happened here to catch people. Otherwise, it's not hard at all for these players to beat the tests.
I would still like to see other evidence besides here say and e-mails referring to so-called code names for the various peds and procedures according to the star witness. Think about it. ......................... Of course I have a strong suspicion Arod is guilty as charged....but I also believe most thinking people understand the concept of beyond a reasonable doubt. This is OUR system.
As for other evidence, let's not forget the money trail. I'm guessing there is more evidence that is sealed under the terms of the arbitration agreement. If he takes this to Federal Court, we would see full discovery. At a minimum, there was criminal activity implicated, and anyone receiving these controlled substances w/o a prescription could be charges. Half needs to make some campaign contributions and wrangle up a hearing on the hill about PED use in baseball. Get Manny, Braun and Arod in to testify. Will be interesting to see what the Florida Grand Jury comes up with for charges.
...tote, that's one of the reasons why ARod should not try to take this to the next level...he'li have to take the stand and if he has shown to have committed a crime he'll be leaving himself open for criminal charges which ultimately could give the Yanx ammo for somehow voiding his contract.
Right, agree. However, we've seen his before. Once in the courts, these people still think they are a special, elite class. They just have no real perspective of reality from the ground. Clemens almost learned this the hard way. I don't think ARods ego will keep him from making this mistake. And I believe the Yanks are gambling on the fact that he will make the mother of all fuck ups in a vain attempt to cling to his artificial legacy.
