Give this some thought, In Bonds last season (2007) he hit 28 HRs in only 340 ABs. And he led the league in walks & OBP while hitting a respectable 276.

Yet, NO TEAM wanted to sign him. So IF the yankees do buy him out (which I hope they do) I honestly think that A-Rod has played his last game on U.S. soil. I mention this because I understand that a Japanese team has interest in him.

Its impossible for me to see any scenatio that includes the yankees bringing back a-fraud for the 2015 season or beyond. Just a matter of outright cut and sue his ass for damaging the brand with his steroids and fraud in general, some kind of buyout or just writing a-hole a check to go away. And Rick absolutely right. Just like bonds no mlb team will touch this piece of shit afterwards. His career is over.

Not to mention the he's suing the team he plays for among others. I doubt the Yankees will be welcoming him back.

There is always the chance that a team with a lot hate for the Yanks could take a flier on him in 2015, but not sure even the Saux would bring the freak show to town. Now the Mets...that's another story. Or say the Marlins...

Honestly I just don't see any team being a part of the circus that this dirt bag would bring to there team.

All depends if the MLB has an owner that channels his inner Daniel Schneider/Al Davis.

Maybe if cuban was an owner but the current crop I don't see anyone with the balls to buck baseball and sign him especially at this point when a-fraud is a diminished player anyway.

I can only think of one team that would sign him and that would be the Marlins because of his Miami ties and their owner is as big a jerk as Arod is.

I don't think he'll ever play again... but I'm sure he'll continue to be a pain in the ass for a long time to come...

...he may somehow play again elsewhere, but think he's played his last game as a Yankee...in his own maniacal way, he's polarized himself by suing nearly everybody, including the Yanx and their team doctor and i don't see how he'd be welcomed back to the clubhouse again after all of this. The fans, in general can't stand him either.
...in fact, the only reason that he'd want to subject himself even more to such a certain gauntlet of negativity from the Yanx and their fans and the media, would be to, in his mind, extract a measure of revenge...I really think he's that disconnected from reality.

Arod is not accepting a buyout, and I'm not sure why this plan keeps being only about the Yankees decision, it's up to him as well and IMO he's defiant about this and will not walk away, also we keep hearing about the remaining contract as $60 million without the milestone bonuses, as if the guy is going to just forget about that money, Arod will be a Yankee again unless NY finds a loophole, and I doubt they find it.

Rusty, a-rod is never playing for the yankees again. And as a result of that he is never smelling those joke steroid induced milestone bonuses as no one is signing this delusional clown again. With all the crap thats come out in his hearing it will be interesting if the yanks try to negotiate some kind of buyout with a-roid or cut him for and make him sue them for his money. I will be very surprised if hal just writes him a check but I guess that is a scenario that could happen also.

A-Rod will still have to go through unannounced periodic testing even during his suspension, so why buy him out & waste money when there's a chance that he fails a test & loses even more money toward an additional suspension?

Why is it he'll never be a Yankee again? it's not like they can just hand him a bag of money and say goodbye, it doesn't work like that, he has to accept the buyout, so again, how is it that fans think he's gone? shame? please, Arod has no shame.

if your Arod why would accept a buy out? Why give up any additional $$ to make other people happy?
