<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>In order to avoid a point guard controversy, Doc Rivers has come out and said that Delonte West will play the majority of his moments at shooting guard this season.

?I?m going to play him more as a 2,? the Celtics coach said. ?He will play some point, especially down the stretch of games and the last possession when you need all shooters on the floor. So he will play it at times, but I love him at the 2.?</div>
It's official, Delonte West is our 6th man and he will be playing much more SG than PG this year. Telfair and Rondo will eat up most of the PG minutes while Delonte gets situational PG minutes (if we go bigger for a few minutes, late in games, etc). Personally, I love this move. D-West is a natural 2 and a natural scorer/shooter. Now, he can take full advantage of that, especially when he's getting the ball from good playmakers like Bassy and Rajon.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions about that just yet. As of right now, the starting spot is Bassy's. Bassy has the keys to the car right now, even though down the road Rondo might use his "grant theft" skills and steal the keys. But as of right now, Rondo is going to provide a lot of energy off the bench. People are gushing too much over Rondo right now (I will admit I am too) that they are forgetting that Telfair is a good player as well, and has been playing pretty good basketball in preseason. I wouldn't count Bassy out just yet, he's a good player and he fits with this team pretty well. Right now, Bassy is the starting point, with Rajon backing him up, and Delonte getting spot PG minutes.

That's good. If Delonte was stuck playing the 1, he would have nada playing time competing with Rajon Rondo and Bassy Telfair. He is a good shooter, and scorer altogether, and fits well at the two.

Was I the one, just the other day, that was saying Delonte would see most of his time at the two? I said Delonte should start at the 2 and Wally come off the bench but thats besides the point.I called this. [IMG]

I think this is coming down to Rondo or Allen. Since so far Rondo is beating out allen, delonte moves to the 2 so rondo can play, rather than delonte playing the 1 with TA at the 2.haha yankshater, alot of people we're "calling this". but props nonetheless.

Sorry to bust your bubble, but you did not call this. You said you wanted Delonte to START at the 2 and move Wally to the bench. Wally is not losing his starting spot this year at all. And if you meant you "called" Delonte moving to the 2, sorry again, we knew he would be playing a lot of SG a few months ago.

Makes sense to me. There would be a ridiculous log jam at the point if delonte was primarily playing PG. This is going to take away from Wally's minutes unfortunatley...
