...yeah, I was gonna say that it would be extremely difficult to defend a union member who has just sued your ass.

They got rid of him for a year. The Yankees are happy for now. They don't need to worry about the remaining years for a while. At that point I think they will be happy they got a break for one year and pay to get rid of him.

I can't see the Yanx going into the 2014 season with the 2015 ARod question on the back burner. This isn't spending more on a new contract situation/free agency. I think as a business they are going to want some clarity as it could impact other contracts and a spot on the 40-man roster after the suspension.

...yeah, but I think the Yanx are also aware of how maniacal ARod has been acting and maybe like us, they're hoping he will do something galactically stupid and totally shits the bed so badly that a 50 gallon shop vac won't be able to clean up the mess...and ultimately making it easy for the Yanx to get out of the contract.

...but you're right, they can't wait too long.

And if I remember correctly MLB is still trying to unseal the records of A-roid's other esteemed drug doctor, Anthony Galea from canada. And if they get those unsealed they can suspend him some more. And the yanks also have a year to get their high price lawyers and investigators to find some more a-rod dirt. A-rod's goose is cooked

I don't know who's advising him but he would have been better off just excepting the suspension & shutting the hell up. This way he's only going to force more shit to come out.

...good points...I had almost forgotten about Galea. And if MLB goes after ARod for that offense too, the MLBPA likely won't be so keen on backing him, especially after being sued by ARod yesterday.
