Re: Holy injuries! http://www.nba.com/celtics/news/notes/note...e.html?rss=true <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>In addition to Pierce, Delonte West, Theo Ratliff and Brian Scalabrine will not be available for Tuesday?s game with the Knicks. West has an infection stemming from an ingrown toenail, and right now there?s no timetable on a return. ?Infections can be dangerous, so I know that [the medical staff is] concerned about it,? said Rivers. Meanwhile Ratliff has a sore lower back and Scalabrine has a shoulder problem.</div> We know about Pierce, he is sitting this one out but he'll be ok. Delonte now has a toe infection ADDING ON to his back. Theo (back, which kept him out vs. Toronto as well) and Scal (shoulder :boogie: ) won't be playing either. Jesus christ this better not be a continuing nag all year long. But, as for the game tomorrow night @ New York, we will get to see a lot of our benchie's get some PT. With no Pierce or Delonte on the wing, I would imagine that Wally will start along with TA, maybe even Gerald (doubtful, I would put my money on TA starting). Bassy will most likely start at the 1, Gomes at the 4, and Perk at the 5. But off the bench, we will get to see a lot of Gerald Green, which is great. It was complete BS he played like 4 minutes the other night. But I'm guessing we will get a look at Luke Jackson, so I won't mind that. Allan Ray will get a little run. We will get to see more of the bigs off the bench as well, like O, maybe Powe, Pittsnogle, maybe even a little Akin. I really want to see some Powe, I want to see how he looks out there. Now, we won't see any Paul, D-West, or Theo, but a big plus is no Scalabrine, and also that we will be able to get a look at the guys that are trying to make the team. This will be an interesting game, IMO.
Re: Holy injuries! WOW, that IS a bad blow for them, especially not having West to decide if he will be benched or a starter, could effect him.

Doc stated that he would use Delonte as SG most of the time, which is his natural position. I don't think this is a big deal, it's really just an ingrown toenail. But damn, Delonte sure does always find himself with the dumbes/most nagging injuries.
Re: Holy injuries! Geez, what's up with all the freak injuries involving delonte. last year he broke his hand twice from almost nothing. now he has an ingrown toenail? damn. did it say what scabs was out for? hopefully something bad, hahahaha.I don't want to see akingbala play at all, he obviously won't make the team. I'd like to see some of Luke Jackson tho.

But yeah, I would like to see some Luke Jackson as well. Speaking of Jackson, he and Pierce had a shooting contest at practice for money. Each shot with their opposite hand, and Jackson won. Pierce said he was impressed with his shooting.

I would like to see him make the roster though. IF he can stay healthy, he still has a chance to bounce back. And if Tony Allen's option isn't going to get picked up then having a healthy Jackson at the end of the depth chart would be alright. He can really shoot the ball.
Re: Holy injuries! yeah, I don't really have high hopes for jackson at all, but who knows? he could become a solid player some day. doubtful, but whatever.
