This kid is projected to go number 2 everywhere in the draft next season. He'll play for Texas this year, and surely be a one-and-done player. I don't know much about this guy, he'll probably be an All-Star in the future. Who's he compared to, and will he start instantly?
First off, this should be in the NCAA section. Second of all, how can YOU possibly call him a future All-Star or a (one-and-done college player) after you even said yourself that you don't know much about him? I don't know much about him either, I've only seen this guy in the Jordan Classic game, but I have seen a lot of scouting reports comparing him to KG and McGrady. Who knows? All I can say is last year's HS class was very talented, and I can't wait to see some of these guys at the college level, especially Oden, Durant, and Thaddeus Young.
well, hes got a boat load of athleticism and has a very good long range jumpshot for somebody that is 6 9 or 6 10 or however tall he is. I think his status in the NBA depends on how he does in college. I expect him to leave after the first year at Texas and I think he may find himself starting on an NBA franchise as a rookie if he finds the right team.
I've been a big fan of his for the last 3 years. I think he's right behind Oden in next years draft, he's a 6'10" 210 guy in the mold of Tracy McGrady, supreme athlete, great all-around game. Smooth shooter and an all-around threat on offense. He has everything you want, he just needs to bulk up a little bit. Guys a complete stud.
I think Kevin Garnett only a little quicker with a better outside shot. Tracy McGrady is a fair comparison too. He's going to be a great player in the league. I saw him in person at a UT scrimmage, and he's extremely gifted, athletically and in terms of a skillset. He might be the most naturally athletic person I've ever seen. Once he learns that it's not about impressing everybody, he'll be a superstar.

I know he'll be one-and-done, I know that much.

Great minds think alike you know. :winkglasses: Just kidding. But anyways this kid is good I just think he needs to put on some more muscle for him to become a great player in the NBA when he gets there.

Not all the time, but it happens. Also, if you have seen this guy play, he has greatness written all over him. He is long, athletic, and can shoot. He is the perfect offensive specimen. To say he will be an All-Star is a bold statement for him not to have even played in a college game yet, but if he lives up to even 80 percent of his potential, he will be an All-Star.
Durant is more of a Rashard Lewis with big man D. But Thaddeus Young is who I can talk about. Hes going to be one of those players who average 5assist. Defense might be best part of his game. Can rebound pretty good. And is one of the most athletic players in NCAA right now(or he will be when season starts). Hes got a nice shot. But just like Durant hes skinny. My "Scouting report" probably is all true considering I saw him in 3 or 4 games of Highschool, and college and NBA is totally different, but we'll see.

I mean I know we obviously have our Kobe's, T-Mac's, JO's, Amare's, etc. But it's really 50/50. I'm not downing Durant or Oden, or Young, etc. I'm just saying you are not guarenteed to be a star just because you are a top HS player.

And the funny thing about all of the guys that you posted, is that none of them went to college. Kevin Durant is and he is playing for one of the top rated schools in the nation. He will be prepared for the NBA unlike alot of these players. All of the guys that you listed were not a projected #2 selection behind what could be one of the best high school specimen this game has seen in years(besides LBJ of course).

But either way, you simply stated that when you are a top HS player, you usually turn out to be a star. Whether you go to college or not, that statement is not true. It's 50/50. There are a lot of top HS players that have turned into busts either in the NBA or college.

Also, the fact that he is going to college is going to give him an edge on alot of the guys that have underacheived in the NBA so far.
