It's a joke. Feigning pride in the "fact" that my race is better than the other races because we're less racist than those other races.
When I lived in Scandinavia, their attitudes always used to make me laugh. They would constantly talk about how "racist" and "bigoted" we Americans were, while they were much more "tolerant" and "open-minded". It was simply because the level of minorities in those countries was incredibly low. Later in my time there, there was a week-long series of articles in Dagens Nyheter (A major newspaper in Stockholm) questioning whether or not Sweden was lost because Stockholm had reached 10% non Swedish. Mind you, over 70% of that minority figure were "other Scandinavians". It's like Portlanders who think Chicagoans or people from the South are racist. It's pretty easy to have those attitudes when there is no sizable minority population. We, as well as countries like Canada and Britain, are a multi-ethnic, multi-racial society. We are also open and self-critical. Those races have inevitable conflicts and we work to resolve them. However, unlike other cultures, we view all people as inherently equal and deserving of the same rights. We're not perfect, but Anglo-based societies are so much better than most others.
