Darrell Armstrong would be a good coach. Same with Shane Battier.I dont know why I said Greg Buckner. I guess I just see him as a future coach. He plays defence and he is smart.

the mayor, fred hoiberg! I think he already has some type of job with the timberwolves organization, but I think he would make a great coach, he said hes wanted to coach but I dont know who would ever give him a chance. maybe start out as an assistant in the D league or something

we've had this before. But I say that most good point guards (past and present) would be good coaches, they are already doing the job on the floor. NO btw I am not saying that bigmen can't coach!

How do you guys know these players would be good coaches? Seems pretty random and pointless to me.

How is it random? We're just giving our opinion on who we think would make a good coach. I think alot of the players that have been named would make good coaches except:Carmelo AnthonyTracy McGrady

Your just listing names based off personality or a players fundamentals. Just because Battier plays solid and fundamentally doesn't mean he's a good teacher...etc...Thats why I feel this is so random and pointless because their is no way in knowing.

You can watch a player, and most of the time be able to tell how smart they are, and if they know the funamentals of basketball. Half of coaching is being smart basketball wise. Sure, you might not know if they are good teachers, but you really can't prove they are not good teachers. Also looking at how they lead when they are on the sidelines, or in the game can help you know how good of a coach they might be. For example, Darrel Armstrong is a good fundamental point guard, and his personality motivates teams to be better. It would be a good guess that both of those would carry over to his coaching career, much like it did for Avery Johnson.
