A request that perhaps can be pulled from Elias Sports? I've been searching for a database that lists every team to go 10-2 to start a season, and what their final result ended up being. If the Blazers have access to those numbers, please post the answer. I'd like to get a historical perspective on how teams with hot starts do over an entire season. Thanks!
10-2 or better has been done 108 times. http://bkref.com/tiny/ZN5yg I did my part Papa, now you look up the season record for each and tell us. Edit: Heh heh heh. Double edit: Some great, great teams in the FT% column.
Yes, thank you jlprk. I was able to get that data as well. I was hoping for a database that had already input the season-ending data, though.
The site doesn't have FT%, up to 1962-63. Okay, check out this one. http://bkref.com/tiny/J8DHz Hmm. How can I use this new power to win arguments?
I don't know the answer to your question, but you've clearly figured out how to hijack this thread without providing any answers to any of the questions posed in it. So that's a win, right?
My request would be to get more interaction from the likes of caseyholdahl , tjansley, and any other Blazer employees. I understand they have jobs and all of that but at least one of them has duties that would actually pertain to posting on the message board right? Caseyholdahl does the blog and could link excerpts here of posts he does so we can foster discussion and tjansely used to do recaps and throwback videos (which we all appreciated) so it would be nice to keep that up. Don't be strangers, guys!
I can try and make that happen. Nate and I had lunch yesterday with a couple of Blazer executives yesterday and they are looking for more things to do with the forum.
