BCB, I dont even understand why you are arguing that Rasho is a good defender. He doesn't stop elite centers in the league like Shaq or Yao but he puts up good fights agaisnt the rest of them. He doesn't get dominated by everybody. Josh Smith is a SF at best. He doesn't even guard centers or guys that play in the interior. As for Samuel Dalembert, that is one guy in the league...and that is because he is an absolute cocky moron.

In San Antonio, Nesterovic was in there simply so that Tim Duncan wouldn't have to guard the low post. What you'll see at the ends of tight games is that Mitchell will go with his five toughest guys, and I'm pretty sure that Nesterovic won't be one of them ... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketbal...es/raptors.html SI 2006 NBA Preview.

Why would they have a crappy defensive center in the game, if his only job was to guard the low post? Does that make any since to you, because it doesn't really make any sense to me. I wouldn't put a crappy defensive center into the game, if his only role was to play defense.

He is in the league for defensive purposes and he was picked up Toronto for the same reason. And Sam Mitchell will go with him at the end of games because if he didnt, they would get scored on downlow in the post every single possession. They dont have anybody else that plays good low post defense besides him.
